for a long, long time? or is this really unhealthy?

im thinking on staying on that amount since Im not excercising...I only walk around the house, cook, and clean dishes mainly....When I Do start excercising though, Ill def. up em to 1,400-1,500....or maybe even more, depending on how my body reacts, I dont mean to  lose more weight whatsoever..so If I lose Ill keep upping...but for now since Im not doing excercise, is it ok to keep eating 1,300-1,350?

Not really healthy bananee.

The bare minimum is 1200 calories to lose weight.  1300-1350 calories will guarentee that you'll lose more weight.  Then, your body will simply adjust to 1300 - 1350 calories; in other words get used to little food.  How do you feel at the calories you set?  Tired or fatigued? Weak? A little slower in reasoning and/or thinking? You say you do not want to lose anymore weight.

Start upping your calories now, by 100 a day. Then by every week until you get to 1500 calories.  This site tool recommend sedentary  1500 calories.  You may also want to check your BMR to verify.  If you Google BMR calculator you will find it.

You sound like you have the plan to up your calories, so, I would recommend that you do up your calories, now.  Start adding 100 calories a day every week until your weight stabilizes.   Remember you may encounter water retention, please don't freak.

Good Luck to you : )

Hey :) thanks for your help.

I was just confused because I heard around that you needed to multiply your weight times 13 to get the amount of calories you need to maitain....and I got confused, cos I tought I was gonna be able to up my calories slowly becasuse my metabolism would boost up...but thanks :) I was planning on doing 100 a week..is that ok? by the end of november this year Im planning on excercising daily for at least 40 minutes a day...so I thought I def. need to up my cals from there on because Ill be burning more...Ill see what I can do :)

I've been maintaining near-precisely on 1400. The 1500 is just an estimate (mine estimated 1700 but I'd gain on that). Probably better off with a higher calorie count and more exercise to compensate, but if you're over 1200, eating healthy food most of the time, and you're not actually losing weight, I don't see the problem.
Okay, I understand that everyone's body is different and responds differently to food.

bananee, for your height and weight, I calculated for you, but want you to check this out for yourself.  Just to survive and function, the guidelnes say that you require about 1310 calories if  you were bed ridden.  * With little to no physical activity 1572 calories.

+So, if you were to chose to be bed ridden, you can live off of 1300-1350 calories.

jainasolo, I know these are guides, but they aren't off that much.  See my point on why +1300 calories simply aren't enough ? Being bed ridden to live off of 1300 calories isn't really living.  Not trying to preach here, just being real.

My best to the both of you.
