I maintained on vacation!!
I went away for 5 days on vacation. Ate foods I haven't eaten in years, steak, hamburgers. Plus foods that I consider treats, fresh fish, going out to dinner, ice cream (premium) from ben and jerry's, desserts like tiramisu and cupcakes (since it was my birthday while on vacation), and homemade pizzas. Plus i scaled back my workout times, since it was vacation but I still ran on the beach a little bit. I didn't have a scale for 5 days and I weighed myself this morning, first full day of being back and...
I MAINTAINED!!! I can't believe it!
I got back from a 7 day all inclusive from Mexico and thought I was going to be about 5lbs heavier! I waited a week to get back on track and then I weighed myself and I was down 2lbs from when I left! lol..It's a good feeling :-)
i always lose when i travel. unless you spend the whole vacation sitting at the bar/buffet, i think that's the norm. most of us are pretty active on vacay, doing different things from the usual, and i think just the unfamiliarity makes us burn a little more.
Congrats, when/if I go on vacation this year I hoep to maintain or even drop a couple extra lbs.
