Maintaining through the Holidays Group
I figured I'd start a group for people that want to support eachother through the Holidays, to hlep keep from gaining. I plan on trying to lose after the Holidays but for now my goal is to not gain any weight through January 1st, anyone with me?
We can weigh in on Mondays
We won't count anything between 1 and 4 lbs. (because we know how much our weight fluctuates anyway)
You can use whatever method you want, eating the same and exercising more or eating less and nto exercising. Anything that keeps you healthy and within 5 lbs of your present weight.
Still at 135 since we started. Food, food everywhere. Trying to workout a little more and eating lighter between the big meals.
Well I came back after spending almost a week at my Moms place, not counting calories, going out with friends etc. I have been in 132 range yesterday and this morning. So I think I lost weight in the last week.

I don't even remember what I was last week I was kinda expecting a gain had a couple beers this weekend.
But I did have a violent stomach bug Wed/Thursday last week.
Good Luck to all! This is the big week. Don't deprive yourself, just eat within reason, park farther from the store, restaurant, party etc. to get in those extra steps. And drink your water!
I can't believe I almost forgot to weigh in! It's so easy to lose track of the days when you're on vacation!
Anyway, the inlaws are leaving tomorrow morning. Yesterday was our Christmas celebration, and I know I went over my maintenance goal a little, but not terribly, and most of what I ate wasn't so bad...veggies in guacamole and nuts aren't such a big sin, even if they are higher-calorie. Anyway, I also drank LOADS of coffee and had a glass of wine, so I woke up dehydrated this morning, giving me (what I imagine is) a false low weight of 117.6 (3.2 less than last week). Over the next week or two we'll see how I REALLY did. We also ate out twice today, but I think I got through that okay. In two more days, my parents come, so there'll be a whole new round of tempation to avoid!
Luckily, today I got my present from my hubby: HOT new jeans, and I am determined to make sure I don't grow out of them!
Hope everyone is enjoying their holidays. Amayou82, I wouldn't stress...less than two pounds is nothing to worry about. I'm sure it'll be gone by next week, and if not, you know that with a little more exercise or a little less food, it'll be gone in no time!
I heard on the news this morning that the average person gains only 1 pound over the holidays. That seems low to me, but that must be because WE are all working so hard to bring that average down!! Good luck sticking to your goals this week, everyone!

Well I decided to weigh in again this morning (I hydrated all day yesterday)
I'm actually at 148, thank God I needed that 2 pound cushion for Christmas 2 more days I can't wait I love being wiwth my family for the holidays. And we have a new addition to the family, I think 75% of the gifts under the tree are for my nephew :-) I love him. Merry Christmas to everyone that celebrate and Happy Holidays to everyone else.
Sorry I didn't weigh in, I got the stomach flu monday night and stayed away from calorie count pretty much the rest of the week until today. My husband and I got back from our christmas trip to pennsylvania today. We had an amazing time visiting our families and i miss them VERY much now.
I went to the gym today, even after the 21 hour drive we had yesterday into last night...I weighed in there and after not keeping track of food all week I still weighed 124.6! So the stomach flu, though it ruined a whole day for me at home, probably saved me from gaining at least 2 or 3 pounds. Guess it's okay to see the bright side of things once in a while.
So sad that the christmas holiday is over...back to work tomorrow...and I only get one day off this week (new years) ...not even a half day on the 31st. Happy holidays everyone!!!! Hope you all had a terrific Christmas!

Though I didn't drink a drop of water yesterday so I'm probably around 148.5 or something like that. My last "big" meal will be New years and then it's time to buckle down. Thanks to all the group members.

wow i weigh 128.5 today.. but that blows me away. I only weighed 123 Christmas morning. Time to get back on track, eat well and exercise. ( i could say more but I haven't exercised at all in 2 weeks.)

Well, being sick seems to have made me lose more than I realized, and drinking tons of coffee around my family has dehydrated me big time. I weighed in today at 115.8.
It'll be nice to get back into a normal eating routine (not eating out for EVERY meal)...and going back to the gym instead of relying on workout videos.

A stomach bug is always a good way to avoid food lol
Yea it is...I lost 2 pounds over my holiday break because of my stomach bug..on every day other than the two where I had the bug I overate...so it actually helped a little...I can't say I'd have it again if given the option though...
Yeah they suck, good thing about them is they are usually over in about 24 hours, or atleast mine was lol
mine too...it really only lasted about 12 hours but then i couldn't eat anything for another 12 (even though I went out to eat at an awesome restaurant and would have LOVED to eat the Duck I ordered...my husband had it for lunch the next day).
Still hanging in there at 135 despite big Christmas dinner and so much food at work. Try to stick to my half bagel and 1 treat just to satisfy whoever brought it in.
We should keep this thread going through the next Monday weigh in just so we can capture the holiday leftovers this weekend. Just a thought.
How did everyone do? Since the holidays are completely over now..I feel pretty good about them. I am actually down a few pounds. Have a great year everyone!!!

Today I weighed in at 119.6 - which is right about where I was when I started and that makes me happy! Thanks for the support throught holidays!
I'm still at 150, thanks everyone in the group. I'm starting NROLFW today so God Help me lol.
