Maintaining: 55kg, 19 yo female, 5'7 - 5'8 ish

Hi there i would just like to know what would my maintanance be if i were moderately active say exercise 3 x a week 30 mins cardio and 30 mins tone or weights(not so heavy) and 5 days of the week i usually go to school but i also walk around during my 1 hour break.

how much should i be eating im asking this cos i dont know how to work it out on calorie count. thanks.

Hey! I am in a similar situation to you as in the sense that I am 19, 5'7 1/2 and maintaining at 56kg! I know it varies from person to person but I am aiming for roughly 1600 calories a day although maybe a couple of days a week I will go over that so it probably averages out around 1800 calories a day. You sounds like you are a bit more active than me so you might need a little more.

Since you're under 21, this site is most appropriate.  Based on 67", 19 years old, 121lbs (55kgs) and a moderate activity level of about an hour a day (the lunchtime walks count) you'd need  2380 cals a day.

In response to jalderson, 1600-1800 would constitute a weight-loss amount.  If you undereat to that level on a frequent basis you could put yourself in the way of mild malnutrition - low iron stores would be a risk, for example... plus you'd be slowing down your metabolism making it much more likely that you'll put on weight in the future.
