maintenance calories

Do you follow what CC says your maintenance calories are? I'm all for eating 1800 calories a day lol, I'm just wondering what happens if you aim to eat a bit less than that (100-200 less maybe)? Like would it better prevent any weight gain from happening or would my body just adapt to less calories and it not make any difference anyways?

The only real way to find out is trial and error, unfortunately.
Ok well what have you (and others) experienced?
i definitely follow the advice of calorie count for maintenance.  i find it's important to log activities for a few days though to really make sure that you are using the correct expenditure level.  i've been maintaining my goal weight for 18 months now.

if you dont eat enough calories, your metabolism will slow down. the recommended daily amount that is provided for you is what your body needs to keep metabolising.Laughing
