Actually, 140 is my target, but it sounds so much better to say "under 140". Anyway, I've lost about 50 lbs. over the last 2.5 years, which wasn't all that hard. Seems like maintaining is harder. Maybe we can share strategies/experiences with this.
i think this is a good idea. i want to be under 140 though. my goal is 134 & then i figure i can go up & down & still be under 140 :D
i know my weight will fluctuate!
i don't want to get up to 218 again!!! :(
218 to 134 is terrific. I'm also trying for about 135 so I have a little cushion for "social eating". Seems like 1 day of eating "normally" and my weight bounces up much faster than it declines. So since this was a graduation weekend, I'm back to 140. Now with the kids home for the summer (or longer), there is so much more food around, this will be a challenge.
139.5 this morning. I weigh myself everyday, but record it on my spreadsheet on Monday. This usually forces me to behave myself over the weekend. Been under 140 for 2 months now. Funny how 140 feels heavy coming from 135, but 140 felt so light on the way down.
i'm up a little from the weekend. we went on a trip. hopefully, it'll be back down tomorrow.
i just need to behave. :D
geez! i gotta go walking... this maintaining thing is working great though. :D
139.5 for my Monday morning weigh-in despite lunch at McD yesterday (single cheeseburger, no fries).
Monday AM weigh in at 138 lbs. Just ate sensibly (chicken,fish) minimal snacking and almost daily running or walking. Voice inside keeps saying to keep losing weight.
don't be losing too much weight now... LOL that voice keeps telling me the same thing!

Welcome Jamie!!! You have done great. 137 at my Monday morning weigh-in despite big Father's Day dinner. I don't miss a meal, but working out more in the summer. Everyone yelling at me for being underweight, but I still feel better with each pound lost. Not sure what is best for the extra calories to maintain.
hi jamie :D that's my daughter's name! the one who started losing weight with me. we were both 5'8" and weighed 218 on 9/4. meanwhile, she got pregnant & had to stop, but i'm 142 now.
i should be lower, but i had to stop for awhile because of people telling me how skinny i was. i'm back now & i just don't care anymore. i know it's just a shock for them to see what i have accomplished... and maybe a little jealousy too. :D
i've decided to get down to 134 before maintaining. that way, if i gain a few it won't bother me so much. man! i just got up to 147 the other day & that scared me!!!

137.5 for my Monday morning weigh-in. No social eating this weekend. Did go out for ice cream once (1 scoop). Still feeling better the less I weigh, especially with summer here.

jamie, thanks! congrats on the 135! :D the baby is a boy & he's due on 8/16. we're expecting him to pop out early though.
anyway, i went from 147 down to 140, but i was back to 142 today. LOL too much misbehaving lately... i went to a chinese buffet today, but i walked about 10 miles to make up for it. i hope that works... i don't want to go up again!!!
just down!!! 139 by 7/5 & then 134 by the end of july :D
