Actually, 140 is my target, but it sounds so much better to say "under 140".  Anyway, I've lost about 50 lbs. over the last 2.5 years, which wasn't all that hard.  Seems like maintaining is harder.  Maybe we can share strategies/experiences with this.

135 again. OK considering all the treats, but I try to just take small portions.  Not taking the 1/2 sandwich to work today and will try to work out if not shopping.  Stay warm!!!

137 here, but that's great, considering what i could be eating.  LOL  sometimes, i just amaze myself!

we've been getting pounded with snow & mostly snowed in, but i'm NOT doing bad.  this usually makes me eat everything in sight, but i'm not even bouncing up & down with my weight.  it's mostly 137!  that's amazing, for me!!!

so yeah, i've been eating good.  lots of fruits mostly...  well, and moderate eating.  now, if i could just get this to last...  well, and slowly get down to 134 again, but after the holidays!  not now!!!  :D

even with company, i am managing to get in my average 4 miles a day of walking.  i am so proud!  today, at least.

you really should eat that 1/2 sandwich, morton...  did you bring fruit and/or veges?

Morton~  Congrats on the 135!  I agree with Snow, you really should take the 1/2 sandwich, that's nothing.  No sense in starving yourself.  ;)

Snow~  Congrats on the 137 again!  You're lucky... I'm afraid to indulge too much.  I had ice cream the other day and mexican tonight though.  Awesome job on the 4 miles of walking!  That's a lot!  You should be proud.

Not much new here... been working like crazy.  So busy today that I didn't have any time to eat lunch or take a break!  My body is so sore from all the lifiting and bending.  All the people want to get their dogs in to look nice for x-mas... busy, busy!

Turns out that we went out for lunch to a Thai restaurant. Lots of veggies.   Did have a small piece of cake first thing at work, but then nothing until lunch. Unfortunately, I started to run a few steps to the restaurant from the car to get out of the cold and my back spasmed, so I might not be exercising for a few days.  First time this happened in a couple of years, since all the weight went away.  Now I've really had enough of this winter.  Had a lot of fruit tonight after a chicken soft taco dinner.

Congrats on all the walking. If I did 4 miles a day, I would be 129. 

k9, i guess it's good that you've been busy.  don't wear yourself out though.

morton, oh no!  i can't believe you hurt your back.  that sucks.  :(  i got thrown in through the door of a restaurant yesterday from the wind.  luckily i didn't get hurt, but i had to grab the door & hold on for dear life!

at least it sounds like you had a good lunch & some cake. 

i only walk so much because i eat so much.  lol  some days i don't walk at all, but i think i average 4 miles a day.  i've been doing real good lately.  if i can control my eating a little more, maybe i'll cut down slowly to 2 miles.  that's 1/2 hour a day.  :D

Morton~  So sorry to hear you hurt your back!  Definitely no fun... my husband has bad back problems every once in awhile something triggers it.  Rest up and take it easy.  The Thai lunch and cake sound yummy.

Snow~  Yeah, I think I've worn myself down... keep getting sick.  I think i have an ear infection now... waiting for the dr's office to call back to see if I can get in today.  Ugh.  So, still haven't gotten to do much exercising because it's been one thing after another.  I'm off today and tomorrow though, so hopefully I can rest some and get back to full strength soon!

LOL, you almost blew away, you're so small!  Glad you didn't get hurt!

WEll, I have been a bad girl.... went to dinner w/the hubby and had all kinds of bad stuff - Bread & oil, WINE, chicken alfredo pasta w/mushrooms and peas, and some really rich and delicious chocolate cake for dessert.  I really need to get my butt in gear after x-mas.  HOpefully I'll be feeling better by then too... Dr. called in a prescription for me at least.  ;)

k9, your job sounds awesome.  :D  not an ear infection!  geez...  yeah, you haven't had much luck lately.  i sure am glad you got some meds!

there are too many people here, so i didn't walk yesterday or today.  i might get a chance later, though.

YEAH!  lol  that wind incident was scary, but at least i didn't get hurt.

132 is awesome for you.  well, you just want to stay around 134, right?  at least you splurged on christmas eve instead of just any old day.  :D

Thanks, I really like my job.  ;)  Yeah, my ear is feeling much better today... the ear drops helped a ton.  Hopefully I'm getting out of my string of bad luck and being sick.  I actually managed to exercise today!  yay!  I did my 30 min shred dvd and intervals on the treadmill for another 30 min or so.  Felt so good! 

Got some new workout clothes that I tried out this morning too.  Got some cool purses and wallets too.  I also got some money for x-mas, so I ordered myself one of those baking gift baskets from www.vitalicious.com ; - I think their Vitatop muffins sound wonderful and I've been wanting to get some.  They've got vitamins and stuff in them and are only 100 calories each!  Yum!  Also planning on buying myself some new pj's and hopefully a new coat... none of my old ones fit me!  How about you guys?  Get any good gifts?

Breakfast was healthy today, but later on I had some chocolates and for lunch I had New York Strip Steak, baked potatoe, corn, and for dessert a pumpkin cheesecake I made.  Oh, and I had some wine.  =)  Not the best for me, but I'm back on track tomorrow!  I don't think I'm going to be 132 anymore!!  Hopefully not much over 135...  I'm afraid to weight now, lol.

oh, i am so glad to hear that you are feeling so much better!  yeah, them ear drops usually help really quick.  it sounds like you did great today.

not me...  :(  hubby said he knows what he wants to get for me, but the snow stopped him from shopping & then he didn't want to go out on the last couple of days because he assumed the stores would be mobbed.  they weren't!  i just started shopping for like 20 people on tuesday!  LOL  it wasn't bad at all...

you'd think he would've at least got me some chocolate or something, but whatever...

i was up from yesterday, but not alot.  i ate late, though, and i kinda had alot of junk today. 

i'll be back on track tomorrow, too.  i can't wait to see that 134 again!!!  i am sooooo excited!!!  i want to see 132 for once.  hehe

Snow, that sucks that your hubby didn't get you anything at all!  Bummer.  Well, hopefully he makes up for it.  ;)

I'm sure you'll be back down in no time at all... I think I'm probably up a tad right now too, but it's probably a lot of water weight.  We'll be back down again soon!

thanks k9  :D  yeah, i'm sure he'll make up for it.  i dunno when.  my birthday is 1/24, so i hope he's not gonna just get one present for my birthday & christmas.

i got sick yesterday.  i guess it's my turn now.  i don't usually get sick, but i was freezing & super tired & eventually barfed.

i walked 1.5 though.  hehe  i'm still feeling pretty rotten & don't know what to eat.  i'm thinking about walking too!

walking always makes me feel better.

Congrats on all the walking though.  I worked out the past two days and now I'm pretty sore.  Not much energy today... feeling really drained and tired.  Super super hungry all day today too... not sure what that's all about.  All I can think about is food!  Ugh! I'm keeping it healthy though... finding low cal foods I can much on and still stay within my cal range.

Hope your hubby doesn't cop out and do one gift for both... that's cheating!  You deserve two gifts.  One for each.  ;)

i feel better already.  thank god that didn't last any longer!  or else i would have started eating everything in sight.  that's how i get when i'm sick.  i did really good today, i guess...  well, i had a donut for breakfast, but my daughter's bf bought it for me.  he bought me 2, so at least i only had one.  :D

i was still feeling pretty rotten til i started walking & then i started feeling better.  i swear!  walking gives me energy.

yeah, we'll see about my giftS.  lol  he hasn't mentioned anything yet.

at least you're eating healthy stuff, so that's good.  you're probably super hungry because you haven't been exercising lately, so your body is confused.  it wants more food to do more stuff!

edited:  134 today!  WooHoo!  134 again...  finally...  now, if only i can stay there at least a few days this time instead of shoot back up already tomorrow.  :D

Good for you!  I walked for an hour and a half on the beach today (it was a beautiful 81 degrees!).  BUT, for lunch I had a sub at this little sub shop near the beach and it set me back a lot of calories... I didn't bother to think about what they all put on it and how many calories the dressing and stuff is.  :(  On the plus side, I do think I walked it all off and it felt great to get some sun. 

I'm not too up in calories right now, but I had a lot of sodium today... had taco bell for dinner too, so my grade so far is a C+, I think.

i had 2 sausage mcmuffins with egg this morning & still got my A.  you only got a C+?  i guess it all depends on what else you eat, because them mcmuffins are an F.  lol

you walked alot then!  man, i wish it was warm here.  i almost got blown away in the wind again today.  it's been awful.

i did really good today.  i dunno if i can possibly see 133 tomorrow (or by new years eve).  probably not, but just the thought of it is making me behave.  :D

Weighed in this am at 134.4 even with all the sodium for yesterday.  :)

nah!  i'm not gonna lose much more, but way back, i had to wrestle hubby to be able to reach 132 & i got permission.  i never even tried though.  hey!  133 today!  :D  this is my best new years ever! 

them muffins are 450 calories each on cc, on the wrapper it says 370.  i used the 450 & then i had an apple, orange, green beans, carrots, 1/2 cucumber, protein drink, V8 & tomato.  i think that's it.  lol

i'll be up tomorrow, i'm sure.  i had a huge dinner.  we went out to eat & i got chicken strips, fries & garlic bread.  i had 2 huge wings too.  i had lots of fruits & veges though.

i can't wait to weigh in the morning.  LOL  i figure, even if the scale shows a gain, it's probably sodium.  i walked 2 miles & was pretty busy all day too.

edited:  LOL  i did it!  i actually gained weight & i'm still at my maintenance weight, 134.  i didn't think i'd ever actually gain & be 134.  :D
