Actually, 140 is my target, but it sounds so much better to say "under 140".  Anyway, I've lost about 50 lbs. over the last 2.5 years, which wasn't all that hard.  Seems like maintaining is harder.  Maybe we can share strategies/experiences with this.

Morton~  Good job on the 136 and getting back down from 139!  Not bad at all.  Glad your treats at home are all gone, it makes it so much easier.  The fruit cups sound good.  Just ignore all the treats at work and let the others all get fat, that's what I do.  ;)  Oh, and no 120's for me, that's too low.  I may lose another 5lbs and go down to 130, but don't want to be lower than that.

Snow~  Thanks!  I'm sure you look good in your 3's too!  I'm still jealous!  Nope, didn't end up getting the yoga in... hubby got home and I didn't want to do it right in front of him... I can never concentrate.  I like to do it when I'm home alone and it's quiet so I can concentrate.  Maybe tomorrow I'll get done w/work early and can do it.  Just did my J.M. 30 Day Shred dvd and took the dog for a walk. 

Didn't end up doing the mini turkey meat loaves for dinner either... hubby wanted to go out, so we went to Fazoli's and I just got a small penne w/meatsauce and had one garlic breadstick and light lemonade.  Oh, and I had a bite of his pizza and lasagna - yummy!  Wish I could eat that stuff instead, but I'd be much heavier.

132 again is awesome!!  So jealous!  I want to be 130... going to try and lose another 5 to get there if  I can.  I need to get my tummy flatter and I think another 5 down may do it.  I like the rest of my body though, so we'll see if I can get the darn tummy down a bit more.  Wish me luck!

Hey everyone, I didn't fall off the wagon too hard, but I am back up to 138.  So I'm working my way back down again, the weight's being a little stubborn this time!  So, I have some work ahead of me.  Good for all of you in your low 130's, I'm jealous!

k9, i just checked yesterday & them size 3's have 3% spandex.  that's probably why they feel so good.  that's cool.  even though you wanted to do the yoga, you did j.m. instead.  lol  that's more work anyway, isn't it?  i've never done that.

OMG!  fazolis?!  i don't think we have them around here anymore.  i loved going there.

133 today.  i had a little binge last night.  i wasn't too bad.  just a little.  :D  hey, read my journal if you get a chance.  it's too funny!

good luck with that 5 pounds, but you know you'll drop it.

bippy!  how good to see you again!  138 isn't too bad.  at least it's still under 140.  man!  i hate that stubborn weight.  yeah, the longer it's on you, the harder it is to get it off.  well, at our weights, anyways.

i'm finally trying to tone up!  134 today, but it's probably my muscles retaining water.  hehe  listen to me!  it's my new high!!!  well, it's probably a mixture of that and the chinese buffet yesterday.  i'm sure i had tons & tons of sodium.

i had a whole plate of watermelon, though.  :D  and a huge salad later on...  i think it's all in the right balance.  you gotta eat enough of that good stuff to outweigh the bad stuff.

Snow, a chinese buffet!?  I LOVE chinese food, especially buffets, but we don't usually do those anymore.  The only buffet I manage to get in once in awhile is a pizza buffet (bad, I know).  I'm sure it's water weight, but 134 is pretty darn good anyways.

My hubby bought me a new weight lifting bench the other day... I really like it.  It even has the spot on the bottom for the weights for the legs too.  I recently started reading The New Rules of Lifting for Women and am planning on following their routines to build some muscle.  Can't wait to get through my reading and actually start it! 

the last few times i went for a pizza buffet, i didn't even really like it.  i wish they had all the kinds i like there & it'd be so much better.  i mostly just have pepperoni or pepperoni & sausage, because i'm too picky.  i'd love to go there & see ham, hamburger, black olives, green olives, bacon...  i better shut up before we both go running out to one of them... 

that sounds really neat, a weight lifting bench!  i think we have one in the basement, but i only lift like 3, 5, & 8 pounders anyway.  i have 15 & 20 here.  i guess they'd be good for lunges or something.  i'm not very strong, but i am finallly working on that!  :D

i don't even know what to do with these things, really.  i just kind of use 'em.  hey, anything is better than nothing.  that's what i figure.

134 still.  i gotta go down from here & then back up...  NOT up & back down!  this is my high still!  WooHoo!!!

Yeah, you're making me hungry for pizza... I was bad last night though and had a frozen pepperoni pizza ( I ate half).  I also had ice cream....   Embarassed

I did so well in my workout today and ate so healthy, up until I went to work tonight for a meeting and they had ordered in Boston Market!  Ugh... I did pretty good though and only had a bit of everything and lots of veggies.

I was 134.2 today, not a big surprise though.  Trying to drink lots of water.  Going to try and be good tomorrow and am starting my new weight lifting routine - I'm excited!

135 this morning.  OK, but eating out a couple of times over the weekend doesn't help.  Went out with both daughters last night and had really good Greek pork chops. Ate one, brought two home and totally skipped the nachos appetizer.  Still lots of sweets at home with the baby still on Christmas break.  Guess I'm the heavyweight in this thread.  The back is better and am back to running/walking regularly (did both yesterday).  Passed my Dr. exam Friday, except the blood won't be done until Feb. due to insurance issues.  Have a great week!

oh yeah, i'll say you were bad.  isn't it awesome that we can be bad now & then?  lol  i guess i've been good.  well, not eating out & eating lots of fruits & veges.  i didn't exercise much today, though.  133 today.

it sounds like you're doing great, morton.  135 is fine.  i'm sure i'll be there again plenty of times.  :D

I was 132 today!!  So happy to see that, didn't expect it... that's always the best part.  :)  Eating lots of protein and drinking lots of water.

LOL  132?!  i was almost 132 today, but not quite.  133.4.  it's funny how we can just keep each other going.  i wonder where bippy went...  i hope she's behaving!  probably not, if she's not here.  but hey, we're not always that good ourselves.  it all averages out.  :D

geez...  132!  you must be sooooo happy!  i probably would be 132 tomorrow, but i think we're going out tonight, so that'll mess that up.  oh well, no biggie.  i am exactly where i want to be now.  134 & then DOWN & up.  hehe

do you do push ups?  i just started doing the push up challenge with some others on here.  i never could do even one, for the life of me.  i finally squeezed out some girly ones & i think i'm gonna be really, really sore tomorrow.  i had to start with some wall ones first & i can't go all the way down, but i finally got some in.  WooHoo!

Hey, 133.4 is pretty good!  I'm down again today to 131.4!!  Almost to that 130!  Not working out today though, it's my recovery day.  Going to give the muscles a good workout again tomorrow though.  Did take the dog for a walk, but that's about it. 

Yep, I do some weak push-ups, lol.  They're pretty tough for me to do...  I can do the ones on the knees pretty easily, but the regular ones are hard!  I had to do to sets of 15 for my workout yesterday, but only could do a max of 10 at a time.  I'll do better next time. 

Supposed to go to a gettogether tonight for my boss (she's going to a different location) and there's going to be cake there.  Ugh.  Going to try to stay away, but I LOVE cake.  Maybe I'll just have a little sliver and that's it.  I'll try to be good.

yeah, I remember... I was sick and 131 was my lowest.... almost there!!  =)  Not sure if I'll be able to keep up this trend though.  I'm afraid I'm gonna get on the scale one of these days and it's gonna be up and I'm gonna be p*ssed!

Believe me, those push ups weren't easy!  I was really struggling to get those done!  Was supposed to do 15 each set, but I just physically couldn't do it yet.  They were the regular ones too where you try to keep your arms tucked in toward your body... so tough!  We'll both be wonderwomen!!  We can do it!!

Oh, and I had a very small slice of cake, one small scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, couple celery sticks, carrots, grapes, and two tiny pepperjack cheese bites.  Not too bad.  ;)

131.2 today!  Woot, woot!!  =)  So close!!

Hey all! I would love to be a part of this group!! I am currently about 135, though I was 133 about a week ago, not too sure where those 2 pounds came from!! I do NOT want to get under 130-131... so if I start saying I do, remind me I said I do NOT wanna be there, I just start looking bony! I'm really trying hard to maintain around 134 (lower then 137!!) and eat healthy, but just live happily!!

You guys seem like a really fun and supportive bunch, hopefully I'll fit right it :)

I think I might have to join this group as the more I consider losing more weight the more I think it's a bit unnecessary! I have lost weight very slowly over 5 years and have at no point put any back on, so I am quite excited about the new me. I am currently 5'3" (not likely to change there) and probably 130-135lb, never been very scrupulous about weighing. I have not completely decided to stop weight loss yet but I am leaning towards maintaining I think, as I am a comfortable UK size 10 and clothes look nice on me (or off me!)

I think so anyway - please feel free to check out my profile etc and say whatever - honestly I am a bit torn and some days I think being 120lb and a size 8 or whatever that is would be really something. Other days I compare myself to size 8 girls and think they are plainer and more ordinary looking with less of a figure and my boyfriend gets on his knees and says he loves breasts, so.

Anyway... am babbling. pretty please can I say hi?

sealion~  You sound kinda like me... I've been maintaining at 135 since mid September, but recently decided to lose a bit more.  Am now aiming for 130 as my lowest, but don't want to go under that (so don't let me and I won't let you).  ;)  I've mostly been focusing on gaining some muscle now though.  Want to look toned and healthy.  By the way, I'm about 5'7", how tall are you?

bairn~  If you think losing a bit more weight is unnecessary, then by all means don't!  If you're feeling good where you're at now, then stick with it.  As long as you're healthy and you love yourself... well, that's all that matters.  Anyways, HI, and welcome!

I'm a bit over 5'8"...we're almost twins! I've kinda struggled with this whole weight loss thing for a while now. I never really cared about my weight, or thought I was overweight by anymeans until a couple years ago. I was never fat, but never skinny. I steadily gained weight from high school through college and by the end of summer '07 I was a bit over 160 (started around 140). I decided New Years '08 I needed change and by the summer I was a fanatic about not eating and running off all ingested calories. My collarbones stuck out, I had no energy, I was freezing and really unhappy. Then one of my best friends died of leukemia. It jolted me back to how I was being soo unhealthy. I decided to be healthy. I focused alot more on running for fitness, health and pure enjoyment. I freakingggg love running now! Im actually training for my first marathon in April woohooo! And now, food is fuel, not foe. I love putting the right foods in body to keep me going all day long. I still think about calories alot, but ALOT less. And I actually don't hate my body, I kinda like it! So for 2 months now I have been "maintaining". But I really really do wanna maintain. 133 being my "fav" number. Hopefully I'll be able to come onto this forum for days when I need support not to OVEReat and also when I need support not to UNDEReat.

k9, i can't believe you are doing so great!  :D  yeah!  LOL  sometimes i dream that i wake up & my clothes don't fit.  that's ridiculous, though, because i never dieted.  i just changed my lifestyle.  at least i don't dream that i'm actually waking up FAT anymore...  it's funny, because i'm 5'7" too.

i dunno.  i hope we can do this.  i sure think we can.  why not?!  the more we do, the better & stronger we get, right?

hi sealion!  welcome to the group!  135 is cool.  i know what you mean.  nope, we don't want to get too thin, either.  there is always that 5 pound fluctuation to deal with, though.  that's my maintenance number, 134.  hehe  i want to go down & back up, though.  no more going up & back down!

i'm sure you'll fit in!  

i was mostly fat all my life.  i started this on 9/4/07 weighing 218, but that's history now. 

awesome!  a marathon!  i don't run.  i don't want to risk hurting myself.  i'm freakin' 51 on the 24th.  that's why i want to get stronger now. 

hi bairn!  welcome to you, too!  geez...  it sure is great to see 2 new people overnight!!!  it sounds like you are doing awesome & happy with your weight.  that's cool.  we ALL want to be right around where we already are.  we just keep each other in line...  even if it's reminding someone that it's ok to splurge...  lol

LOL  yeah, if you lost weight, it might come right off your breasts!  mine went first.  i don't think i have anything to worry about there.
