Actually, 140 is my target, but it sounds so much better to say "under 140".  Anyway, I've lost about 50 lbs. over the last 2.5 years, which wasn't all that hard.  Seems like maintaining is harder.  Maybe we can share strategies/experiences with this.

136 this morning. Was really tested at a free buffet this weekend at a grade school reunion.  Took the fish, pasta, veggies, and fruit.  When they brought an ice cream cake the size of a ham to our table, I had a sliver.  Only 1 beer.  Hard to stop dieting.  Guess the running /walking burns the junk off.

 

yep!  that running/walking works miracles!  :D

i could use a miracle here...  :(  139 today!  i ate like a pig yesterday...  i'm figuring at least 7000 calories.  i know...  i know...  i can never start a 129 board like this!  LOL

Bip:  Are you getting back to 139 yet.  The social/vacation eating is a killer.  It;s tough to eat light at an event.  No one will tell you to stop eating.  Hang in there.

Currently maintaining at 139. I'm going on vacation off and on for the next to weeks so I'm not expecting it will stay there. I'm gonna give it my best shot though.

Actually, I just got back to 139.5 this morning!! Woo Hoo!!  I've stepped up my running workout, and am making sure I lift weights, and make it to my yoga class twice a week.  And throw in at least 15 miles a week on my bike....  and stay away from the junk (family outings are done for awhile).  If anyone ever tells me losing weight is easy, I'll punch 'em in the nose! Foot in mouth

137 yesterday & 138 today.  i'm just up & down.  lol 

trying to get back to 134 again, but i'm going on vacation anyday now too & it's hard enough staying away from the junk at home.

my very 1st post on this thread was about how i wanted to stay under 140, so i guess i'm doing good.  :D

Way to go.  Everyone is under 140.  Great weather for running/walking (and eating too).  Have a great weekend/vacation. 

136.5 this morning again.  Not bad considering lots of eating opportunities over the weekend (birthday fondue dinner/cake, Costco pizza, lunch at Navy Pier).  Still avoiding most of those killer snacks. 

138.0 this morning, which came as a surprise considering how much I ate yesterday... I was hungry all day!!!!

How is everyone else doing?

That was short-lived, I didn't have a great weekend, back up to 141 (sigh), I'll do my best to get back under 140 by the end of the week... Frown

137.0 for Monday weigh-in.  Not  too bad considering a busy weekend, including a Cubs game, taking daughter back to school, taking mother in law to Applebees, and going to a Greekfest.  I think its an end of summer panic to do stuff.  Thankfully I was able to do some running and had a few salads at home.  So many sweets at home and at work make losing/maintaining very hard.  Still would like to get to 135 as I feel like I'm 1 big meal away from 140.   Sounds like everyone is keeping close to 140.  Maybe one of you can start a 129 club sometime (if that's a healthy weight for you).  Have a great week. 

Back down to 138, whew... It's funny how 3 little pounds effects a person's outlook on things.  And how fat it makes me feel now. 

Another holiday foodorgy weekend.  It's almost like they have these just to screw up our diets.  The next time I hear "did you have enough to eat" I'm going to gag.

i got back down to 134 on vacation & then shot up to 144.  back down to 141 today.  it shouldn't be too hard to get back down to 134 again.  :D

i just need to eat right now that i'm home again & keep on walking.  it should be easy with hubby at work, ang at college & ash back to school on wednesday.

i figure i won't have anyone to bother me about using the treadmill.

135 this morning, but going to Taste of Polonia today, so I expect to be up a couple of pounds real quick.  I could use them.  Your right, even with 1 daughter back at school, there's less food around. 

135.5 this morning.  No major bads.

geez morton, you're doing great!  i keep going up & down.  at least i'm back down to 138, but i keep eating too much lately & hubby just had off for 3 days in a row.  that doesn't help any.

i'm back to basics tomorrow!

136 Monday morning.  No major bads and keeping sweets to a minimum.  Also being careful when there is free food around (like a party) Did hit 133 once last week though.  Same diet as I've had for the last 60 lbs. so I guess my body found an equilibrium around 135.  That's about my minimum healthy weight and I feel great.  See what happens with activity going down with colder weather.

Hi guys!  Do you have some room for one more in your maintenance club?? 

I just reached my goal weight last week and am new to this maintenance thing, so it'd be nice to have some people in a similar situation.  I'm down from about 182 to 135 lbs.  I'd like to stay under 140, but as close to 135 as I can.  I'm working on toning up and building muscle, so I may gain some, but I'm hoping not too much.  :)

Welcome Karey!  Congrats on the 47 lbs.  This is the hard part.  Either you go back to old habits and start creeping up or you stick to your diet and the weight keeps going down (my problem).  It really helps to tell the discussion board how you are doing, since no one else wants to hear about it.

Just curious, what do you eat in a typical day?  Good Luck!
