Actually, 140 is my target, but it sounds so much better to say "under 140". Anyway, I've lost about 50 lbs. over the last 2.5 years, which wasn't all that hard. Seems like maintaining is harder. Maybe we can share strategies/experiences with this.

My typical day of eating:
Breakfast: Egg whites on light wheat toast & banana, or instant oatmeal packet
Snack: Luna Bar or other protien bar
Lunch: Sometimes a Lean Cuisine or Healthy Choice meal, small salad, or otherwise some soup; other days it might be a gardenburger & some veggies
Snack: Kashi tlc or Fiber One granola bar; otherwise apple slices & PB2, or trailmix
Dinner: most often some sort of 6" sub, or maybe some cereal
Snack: some fruit or maybe a fruit popsicle or 100 calorie pack
Monday weigh in was 134.5. Hopefully this is just a random fluctuation, although I haven't been eating out much and not overeating. Still kind of paranoid of gaining back all those hard earned pounds lost. Pizza for lunch and ribs tonight should get me back to 135. Guess I'm not setting a very good example for this thread.
I weighed myself today... 136.8. Up a little bit. Not sure how much I should be eating. Maybe I'm just retaining water, lol.
How many calories do you guys all eat a day? I've been doing around 1800-2000 depending how much exercise I do each day.

I haven't been counting for a while, but I checked on my log and I was averaging between 1500-2000/day. Probably about the same now.
mortongrove~ Wow, I'm surprised that you go as low as 1500... I thought that males have to consume at least 1800 calories a day just to function. If you're losing weight still, you probably need to bump those calories up to at least 2000. Just my two cents worth. =)
136 this morning. Probably because I'm not running (pulled a muscle) and had some extra chocolate and pizza this weekend. Back when I was counting, 2000 calories gained weight and 1500 lost. 135 really feels good. For afternoon snacks, I grab a handful of pretzels once an hour.
Weighed myself this morning and I'm at 136.8 - exactly the same as last week. I guess my body likes maintaining at this weight.

i try to eat around 1800 - 2000 calories a day unless i'm burning alot. then i'll eat more. it's really hard to say... because i overeat alot! it all seems to average out though. i'll eat more like 1500 if i get up too high. lol
how much do you eat k9? i've been staying at 137 lately, no matter what i eat. i'm up today though. :( it's probably water weight from lifting my weights & from the pizza & wings.
i started eating pretzels lately too. i guess they're better for you than chips.
i haven't logged in awhile & i'm still doing fine. i was so afraid of not logging & i didn't think i could do it. well, i guess i can! :D mainly, right now, i'm just trying to eat better, make better choices, and most of all... eat lots of fruits & veges.

I'm so close to my 135 goal now I can taste it! I weighed in this morning at 136, so just... one... more... pound! I will try to maintain a while at that weight, maybe shoot for 130, we'll see...
Hello K9! I'm 34 yrs old, 5'5", and eat between 1300-1600 cals a day. I try to watch my protien intake, because I know my diet tends to lack that. Congrats on your wieght loss! You look great!
snowfence~ I usually eat about the same as you... around 1800-2000ish. I'm afraid to really go over 2000 if I can help it. You're lucky to be able to eat pretty much whatever and still stay at 137 - I'm jealous. Congrats on your being able to not log everything anymore! I'm still afraid to not log. Eventually I'll get there.

k9, yeah, LOL i didn't think i'd ever be able to stop logging, but i'm doing great. i think it's so easy because i always eat different amounts of calories & different stuff, so i'm keeping my metabolism high.
well, that and exercise. i haven't done much of that lately though. :( i gotta get back on the ball here!

i know! lol you don't understand my family though. i need to pretend i'm not trying to lose anymore or exercise, etc. i guess they are kind of getting used to me being thinner now, but they were actually mad when i didn't even reach my goal yet & telling me i was too skinny.
i try to hide my counting & exercise so they don't start up on me again, and they're all home today. hubby will be home tomorrow, so tuesday i'm gonna get back to walking. i'm gonna walk at least 4 miles, for sure!

That stinks that your family isn't supportive of your weight loss. It sounds like you've been doing it the healthy way, so there isn't any reason for them to be alarmed. My guess is that they're probably not used to you being this way, or they're just jealous of you! I think you're looking great! =)
thanks! :D yeah, it's really hard for me. i want to stay the same for them, but lose more for me. i did lose the healthy way though, and if i lose more, it'll be the same.
i think they just always thought i'd be fat & it's hard to get used to the new me. they are getting better though, i guess.
i want to walk so bad!!! this is driving me nutzzz... tomorrow. tomorrow i will, for sure. i'll finally have the house to myself again, so i can do what i want. :D
even though i'm eating alot more these days, i'm trying to eat healthy still & make better choices. like i love potato chips & lately i'm eating pretzels alot. it's not that pretzels are good for you, but i think they're healthier than chips.
i didn't even gain from yesterday!!! WooHoo!!! i'm actually back down to 136 again!!! i was probably so hungry because i was gonna weigh less in the morning. i even ate late again (on purpose!)... just to keep the metabolism up. :D

Weighed-in yesterday morning at 136.4. Not too bad.
