139 Maintenance Club

Actually, 140 is my target, but it sounds so much better to say "under 140".  Anyway, I've lost about 50 lbs. over the last 2.5 years, which wasn't all that hard.  Seems like maintaining is harder.  Maybe we can share strategies/experiences with this.

k9, we're pretty even!  :D  not for long though...  i'm meeting hubby for lunch at applebees & we are planning on the all you can eat ribs!  LOL  oh yeah...  i can eat alot!!!

not bad?!  136 is awesome!!!  be proud of that!!!

Thanks snowfence!  =)

Have a great lunch with your hubby!  Enjoy!

I did it! 134.5 yesterday, 135 today! Woo Hoo!  I'll maintain here for a bit, and see if it's good or not.  I'm starting to get a lot of the "You're going to blow away if you lose any more" comments, so maybe here is good...

Have a great day!

bippysmom~  Yay!  Congrats on making your goal!!!  =D

135 again.  Actually got down to 133 one day last week, but a greek restaurant for the M/I/L Bday fixed that.   Looks like this should be the 135 club.  Nice job all.  Have a nice Sweetest Day (another diet killer)!

Thanks everyone!  This feels good... to not wonder if I'm the biggest one in the room, or what I would feel like if I could wear cute clothes and not shop in the Plus Size section of the store.  Now I know how that feels, it feels great!  A size 4-6 is a great size to be (I might try for a solid 4 though)!

Yea us!!!

It does feel wonderful to be able to wear cute clothes... and they look small on the rack.  I'm always looking at them wondering if I'm really buying a size 4, or if I'm dreaming, lol!  I agree, a size 4/6 IS a great size to be.  =)

Well, since you are on the subject of clothes, it seems every time we're at Costco, I'm digging through the better pants piles and buying a couple pair with different sizes since they don't have changing rooms.  I was so glad to get the right size (at Costco prices), I ended up with a bunch of 34's (down from 36) that fit pretty good (for awhile).  As you might have guessed, the 34's are way to big and I'm starting the 32" collection.

Now I'm thinking of trying to get 1 or more suits altered.  I dug through my closet looking for suits that I gave up on long ago (too small) and those are now way too big.  Don't need them for work anymore, but there's always a graduation, wedding or funeral to go to and I feel like a little kid wearing his father's suit.  In fact, I was gassing up the car after my daughters graduation in Champaign a couple of months ago, and a kid yells out of a passing car "Nice Suit"!!!   Anyway, it's costing me $40 to get some good pants altered, so I'm a little worried about the cost of a suit alteration.  Maybe I'll have to buy a Costco suit if they sell them.  Oh well, at least I'm saving money on food (and someday) health costs.

It's definitely worth it though.  Especially when people who can barely walk say "you're getting too skinny".

I agree, getting new clothes can sometimes be a pain and be costly, but for the most part, I enjoy it.  It does beat being unhealthy and obese.  I have gone through so many different sizes and some clothes that I've hardly even worn, going from the 14/16 down to a 4.  I'm sure getting a suit altered could get expensive, but it's probably cheaper than buying another nice suit, right?  I'm sure it makes you feel good that clothes are too big for you.

135.8 this morning   =D

congrats bippysmom!!!  :D  that is awesome!!!  don't blow away now...  hehe  yeah, it feels awesome, don't it?  enjoy your new size.

sweetest day?  oh cool...  LOL  a reason to pig out!

morton, you're wearing 32's now?!

k9, congrats on the 135  :D

i'm up today, but that's ok.  137...  i'm always up & down by about 5 pounds.  that's no big deal.  i expect it.

134 this morning.  Must be rebelling against all the Halloween/Sweetest Day candy.  Back to running maybe 10 miles a week.  Yep, 32's fit like glove. Guess I better get at least my best suit altered.  Tailor did a nice job on the good pants.  Glad everyone is staying well under 140.  Good luck with the holidays coming up.

136 this morning.  Going on vacation to WI to visit family for a week, so hoping I won't gain too much.  TTYL!

137 here, but i'm working on lowering that.  :D  have a nice trip, k9!  i'm going to vegas in a couple of weeks, so i'm worried about gaining, too.

Thanks snowfence!  I'm having a good time visiting all of my family.... been eating out all the time though.  Hoping the weight isn't going to be too bad, but probably nothing I can't lose again if necessary.  Had a yummy turtle sundae last night and some good salads... even had some pizza the other day.  I'm eating pretty badly so far, so I'd better keep an eye on that.    I bet you're excited to go to Vegas - awesome.  I'm sure you'll have a great time.  :D

yeah, i'm sure if you gain, it will be real easy to take back off.  that fresh weight is the easiest.

yep!  i can't wait to go to vegas!!!  it's gonna be awesome.

136 today  :D

135.5 this morning.  A very low calorie Sunday (cereal, 1/2 sandwich, salad) couldn't offset Friday breakfast out, Friday night pizza out, and Saturday Mexican (out again).  Looks like the sweetest day candy will run out just in time for Halloween.  Can't complain since I'm staying well under 139 and could probably pass for a skeleton on Halloween.  Oldest daughter (22) got her own apartment last week so we are semi empty nesters. Yea!

Have a Happy Halloween all.

wow!  we're both 135!  :D  that's probably a first, huh?  i've been eating out alot lately, too.  i've been walking alot though.  last week i walked 31 miles & this week i'm trying for 28.  that was my goal last week & i passed it.

yep!  i love chocolate & there'll be more coming soon...  halloween...  then my anniversary.

that's really exciting!  we only have one daughter still at home out of 5 kids.  she's 17.  the one in college might come back, but i dunno.  i really don't think so, but i'm saving her room for her...  right now, at least.

With all that walking, you'll be at 129 in no time.  Hope on not on that thread or I'll be in big trouble.  Besides Halloween, I have Bday  and anniversary als o coming up in November, and those are just a warm up for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Not a great time to diet, but I've lost weight the last 3 years over these 2 "fat" months.  Congrats on the anniversary, ours is #27 on the 14th.

i know what you mean!  it's not just a holiday here & there.  it's holiday season!  hopefully, i'll make it just fine.  this is my 1st year of maintaining during the holiday season.  it's a little scary, but i'm sure i won't give in.  LOL  well, i might give in a little, but i'll make up for it whenever i can.

yeah!  you better not get down to 129.  hehe  129 would be awesome for me!  BUT then i would be in trouble.

wow!  congrats on your anniversary!  :D  ours is #26 & it's on the 13th.  that's cool that they are so close!

Okay, finally had the courage to weigh myself after my trip to visit family...

137.2   Not bad, actually.  I can live with that.  :)
