Actually, 140 is my target, but it sounds so much better to say "under 140".  Anyway, I've lost about 50 lbs. over the last 2.5 years, which wasn't all that hard.  Seems like maintaining is harder.  Maybe we can share strategies/experiences with this.

LOL  geez morton, you know not to worry about me!  ok, so today i had a banana, fiber plus bar, double cheeseburger, whopper, whole bag of ultimate butter popcorn, diet V8 splash, & i'm ready to eat more now...  starting with some chocolate.  :D 

ummm...  i think that's all i ate...  that's over 1800 though!  i'll probably have some salad, cucumber & tomato or something.  i need more good foods for the day.  i tried to talk hubby into pizza & drinks tonight, though, but he said no & maybe tomorrow.

AND i should be weighing less already by tomorrow.  i was still 134 tonight & i normally lose 3 pounds at night...  UNLESS i eat a whole bag of popcorn.  LOL

i don't suppose i'll be down 3 tomorrow, probably just one.

i hope you have a great trip & that sucks about not being able to run.  at least you're getting that walking in.  i can't believe you had 3 whole slices of pizza!!!  that's awesome!!!  hey, you don't do that all the time.  it won't hurt you.  i'm so proud you did that!!!

edited:  ok, so it's monday now...  LOL  130 today  :D  geez, i don't even remember what it was last week.  i'm always in my maintaining zone, though.

edited again:  ah!  134 last week.  hehe  maybe we don't even need to check in once a week anymore.  i dunno!  it's been an awful long time & we're still doing great.  i don't think we'll ever change, do you?  we know where it's at.  ;)

Back from week in Monteal and Quebec City and still at 131.  Ate a lot of good food, but did a lot of walking.  Even ran 3 times.  Loved both cities, and Fairmont Chateau Frontenac was awesome in Quebec City.  Did all the tourist stuff including lots of museums.  Now its back to "work" and less calories.

wow!  that must have been real nice to get away for a whole week AND seeing all the attractions.  that's great, still 131!  oh man...  i know i'd be up!

129 today, but i was 131 yesterday.  still bouncing around here, but it's a good bounce.  :D

i can't believe you even got 3 runs in!

i had an interview at rite aid today.  i feel good about it, but not a clue yet.  it would only be part time, but i don't care.  it'd be good to get anything at this point.

oh!  my BP was finally good at the doc's today!  124/72  :D

Hope the job Rite Aid works out.  Great news on the BP.  Is that without BP pills?  Finally changed my picture from 2006 Ireland to last week at the Fairmont.  First run today since trip.  3 miles.  Really felt re-charged. Even took fast walk with wife after dinner.  Could have done a more.  Also, my wife's step counter was about 50 miles for our 8 day trip.  No wonder I maintained.  Have a great week.

i'm still waiting to hear about the job.  i had to do a phone interview & it takes 3 days to get the results.  i can't stand waiting!  especially, with hope!  LOL  i dunno.  it'd be great to work that close, but i don't really care.  i just gotta find something. 

yeah, that's with no BP pills in like 4 months or so.  :D

that pic looks great!  i'm sure that run felt great.  i know the feeling.  geez, 50 miles in 8 days?  wow!  i'm impressed!  it's awesome that your wife walks with you.  you're lucky!

129 today.  just kinda hanging right around there everyday.  still no job, but whatever...  lol

Hi Snow:  Stayed at 131 for my Monday weigh in.   Ate pretty well this week, except for the Cubs game on Thursday that did me in (belgian waffle at a local Boystown diner before the game, plate of cheesefries and beer after the game at a Wrigleyville bar, but nothing at Wrigley except the pretzels and granola bars and water that we bring in).  Food and beer are such a ripoff at the park.  I swear the obese guy in front of us spent $100 on beer.  Yesterday, tilapia and rice at Red Lobster with the M-in-L.  Started eating some yogurt with a little cereal at work.  Even went to Costco w/o one sample.  I think I get sick watching the people lining up for the samples.  You'd think it was a soup kitchen for the homeless.  Our little one (now a senior) will be visiting next weekend so I'm sure to have some big junk food meals. 

I've cut back my running to about 2 miles since my foot hurts (don't know why), but still walking almost everyday with  my wife.

Sorry no job yet, but hang in there.

Summer ends tomorrow, but have a great week anyway.   Frown

i'm glad you stayed at 131.  i knew you would!  LOL  it's not like you're gonna gain, unless you want to.  :D

yeah, i've been doing some good eating, too.  well, you know me...  we bring our own food when we go to the movies, too.  we just go to the dollar tree & get theater candy.  we usually buy the huge popcorn & huge pop, though.

i like to get the free samples when i'm shopping, but never if there's a line.  ;)  i know what you mean, though.

i sure hope your foot gets better!  i'm staying pretty active.

rite aid just called me!!!  i passed the 1st phone interview!!!  now, they're doing the background check & then there's still another phone interview, i think...  another interview AND a drug test...

Great news Snow. Getting the interview is the hardest part, so the rest should be easy.   Thin people like you always have an advantage.  So go knock 'em dead in the interview. 

thanks man, i got it!  i got the job!  it's only part time, but that's ok.  i'm so excited.  i start tuesday, but i think that's just gonna be filling out paperwork & hopefully getting my schedule.  :D

i'm so glad it's not seasonal.  LOL  hopefully, i'll get enough hours that i won't have to get a 2nd job.  i dunno.  i really should be working full time.  we need the money!

i don't even know how much they're paying me, but i'm hired.  isn't that weird?  lowes did that too.  i googled it & i see that they have alot of benefits.  :D

Congratulations!  I knew you could do it!

Way to go Snow!  I knew you could do it.   Good luck on your first day tomorrow.  You'll do terrific.  Go have a treat.  You'll burn it off working anyway.  I'm a big fan of part-time work.  It's just enough to keep you a little busy and still have time for a life.  And work always gives you something to laugh at.  That usually is half of our dinner conversation.  Let us know how it goes.  Almost forgot, 131.5 today after a high of 133 Saturday.  Cheers.  BTW, is Rite-Aid a drug store?Wink

now that it's tomorrow already, i AM getting a little nervous.  not much, though.  i think i'm more excited than anything.  you're so right, morton!  i'm sure i'll be coming home with lots of stories for hubby.  lol  whether he wants to hear them or not...

AND yeah, it would be nice to work & still have a life.  yep, rite aid is a drug store.  i think there are 1000's of 'em around.  i'm not sure of the number, but i see them everywhere when we're traveling.

it's going great.  i love it!  so far, i did a bunch of computer tests, a little register & helping customers, and today i changed a bunch of shelf stickers.  it's really nice & relaxed, so far, at least.  ;)  i'll probably have my 'busy' days.  i don't care, i'll enjoy being busy.  it'll keep me from getting bored.

129?!  oh no!  yeah, i'm sure a nice weekend will fix that.

i finally hit my dream weight today!  124!!!  WooHoo!!!  i've always wanted to weigh that again.  i weighed it for one day before, in 1980, the day i found out i was pregnant with my 2nd kid.  LOL  i didn't think i'd ever see that again...  after work, i weighed myself again, because i had to change my clothes anyway,  & it was only 123!!!  that is soooooo awesome!!!  don't worry, i'm still in my healthy range.  that makes my BMI 19.3.

i'm sure i'll have a big eating weekend, too!  :D  jamie, ang & her boyfriend will be here & it's a long weekend, too.  oh man, i'm so excited!  i haven't eaten out for a whole week!  LOL

125 today.  i guess it wasn't such a big weekend as i expected.  lol  i've been eating quite alot, but i'm eating alot of good foods.

hubby went mall walking with me today & he lost 5 pounds in a week!  :D  we walked 2 miles.  we don't have the money & can't eat out much lately.  maybe that's why he's losing.  i haven't been meeting him for lunch, because i'm working, too.  i dunno.  he's actually trying to eat better!

Congrats on the 123.  You must really be feeling great.  Maybe the job will get you under 120.  19 BMI is terrific.  I need to check mine again (was 21 a couple of months ago.  131 for Monday weigh in.  Couple of times eating out over the weekend got me back over 130.  Went out for lunch today so I had a salad.  I try to eat at least okay when out (fish or a single burger, or a salad) and it still worse than eating at home. I'd probably be (more) underwight if I never ate out.  Probably just as well.  Moved our daughter to a new apartment in the city for the main activity of the weekend.  Really cutting back on walking outside with the colder weather and early sundown, so I think we will be heading to the indoor track for the next 6 months.  Just not convenient like walking out the door.   Don't have desire to workout more than 3x/week. 

Hope Rite Aid is still working out for you.  Sounds like you are a good influence on your hubby.  It's kind of the same with my wife watching her steps.    Can't decide if I should try to do a Holiday retail job.  It would really mess up my exercise and nap routine.  Well, have a great week and try to stay out of the Rite Aid candy dept.

131!  that's cool.  :D  at least you're back up!  yeah, if you only ate at home, you'd wither away.  you do have occasional treats, though, & 3X a week is fine for your workouts. 

same here!  man, i'm not walking much lately.  i'm just doing exercises in the house.  it's too cold out there.  if i still had to lose weight, i'd be out there no matter what, but i don't need to lose anymore so i don't want to chance getting sick.

i'm still getting my trophy every week with my HRM & being active at least an hour & 15 minutes a day with my activity computer (my other watch).  so i'm getting plenty of exercise.  it's just mostly inside.  you're right.  it's so much easier just walking out the door.

candy, candy, candy!!!  LOL  yeah, i do find myself going over & looking at the candy alot.  i'm not buying any, though.  i have to fill the shelves & stuff, too.  today i cashed out all day.  that's the first time i did that.  well, cash & fill candy.  :D

alot of my job is filling shelves, counting stuff, & putting up/taking down stickers.  it's nice, because there are alot of things to do other than just cashing out customers.  oh!  i help customers alot, too.  :D

i dunno.  i'm not trying to lose, but i've been sick with a nasty cold for a few days, at least!  i've been eating good & i haven't been exercising very much lately.  i guess it's just the eating good that did it.  well, eating good for me.  LOL  hmmm...  whatever!  i'll take it.

i didn't use my HRM all week!  the only exercise i've been getting is my 'staying active' at least an hour & 15 minutes a day.  i didn't even make that yesterday.  i guess working must be burning alot.
