Actually, 140 is my target, but it sounds so much better to say "under 140".  Anyway, I've lost about 50 lbs. over the last 2.5 years, which wasn't all that hard.  Seems like maintaining is harder.  Maybe we can share strategies/experiences with this.

134 this morning.  No big meals this weekend and minimal snacking.  Have a great Thanksgiving everyone.  Don't eat too much (just kidding).   

this board is too slow for me.  oh well, happy thanksgiving!  i'm outta here...

I miss you already too!  LOL  I check this thread a lot, but there's usually nothing much going on.  I need an active thread to help keep me motivated and focused, which I'm sure is what you're looking for too.  ;)

i ate way too much yesterday, but i didn't even gain any weight.  :D  i hope you're doing good!

I too ate more than I had anticipated yesterday and a couple hundred more than I wanted to have tonight, but I think I'll be fine.  Planning on hitting the exercising extra hard tomorrow morning before my big thanksgiving meal out.

i was bad again!  i guess it's the start of the whole holiday season thing for me.  i dunno...  there's alot of company here & alot of food already!  i ate way too much again & way too late.

i was even handed a slice of pie while i was in bed last night!

my problem is that i can't walk in front of these people & they all tell me i'm too skinny, so i can't pick up with the walking 'til monday!  unless i can somehow find the time...  say maybe if they go shopping, visiting friends or something.  i'll be looking for my chance!  i would've walked outside this morning & they wouldn't have even known, but it's way too cold & i don't want to get sick.

i did manage to squeeze in just over 3 miles yesterday though.

i'll be back on track as soon as i can!  you could join my other board, but you wouldn't like it.  lol

good luck today & maybe you can do a little extra walking for me  ;) 

i will really, really try not to eat too much, but i will definately have a little of everything & probably way too much stuffing.

Yep, you're still here, so I figured I'd stick around.  ;)

It's hard to be good when you have company around.  There's so much pressure and everyone thinks you looks so skinny so eating bad won't hurt you.  We know that eventually it does catch up with you, but we can do it for short spurts and get away with it, just not as a lifestyle.  

What kind of pie did you have?  I love pie, but haven't been really having any... my hubby loves pumpkin pie so I bought him one the other day, but I only had a very small bite of it.  I'm not planning on eating any of it, it's for him.  

Good job on the 3 miles yesterday!  I'll do some extra for you today, lol.  I'm going to go work out pretty soon... gotta get ready after that to go to the Brazilian steakhouse with some friends.  Going to try not to eat too bad, but really looking forward to some carrot cake for dessert... I LOVE carrot cake.  It won't be a traditional thanksgiving with the usual thanksgiving type food, but the food is wonderful.  I think I'll miss the stuffing though.  ;)

i know...  the company, the pressure, :(  we had pumpkin & dutch apple pie.  there's only pumpkin left & i wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole.  LOL  so, i guess i'm out of trouble for now...  except for the stuffing!!!

thank you sooooooooooooo much for walking extra for ME!!!  i really don't think anyone has ever done that!  i've done it enough for them, though...

miss the stuffing...  LOL  OMG!!!  i am so totally NOT missing the stuffing...  i should be, but i'm not.  it's awesome!!!  :D

Mmmm dutch apple pie - sounds wonderful.  I love apple pie.  Glad you're enjoying the stuffing for me, especially since I walked extra for you.  ;)  

Haven't weighed in in awhile... maybe I will tomorrow.  Just didn't want to see bad numbers and be upset... hoping to be back into my routine and bump the exercise up a bit more.

i usually don't even eat pie for the holidays or whatever.  i'm really not a pie person.  lol  it sure was good!  i better stay away from it now, so i don't get hooked.  :D

i am really, really trying to limit my time on here AND not log my food OR exercise.  i'm doing great with the not logging, but i'm still on here alot...  reading journals, etc.

at least i'm doing good with the not logging.  that's the main thing anyway.  i need to start trusting myself with what i eat, ya know?

maybe someday i can quit weighing myself every day, too.  i'm not ready for that yet.  LOL  believe me, i've tried!

Wow, I'm really amazed that you're not logging!  I really wish I could do that, but I'm stuck to this site religiously, except for when I'm bad and go out for pizza or something.  I'm not sure I trust myself... I don't have a lot of self-control sometimes.  I don't ever log my exercise, but always log my food and plan it out.  I'm envious of you not logging... 

I'm not too bad with weighing myself though... I usually only do it about once a week.  I finally weighed myself after the holiday and all the bad eating...  134.2!  I actually lost some weight and am just below my "goal" weight.  Not sure how I did that, lol.  But, I'll take it!  ;)

i'm gonna try to get down lower again before christmas.  yeah, it's killing me not logging, but i don't care.  i need to do this.  i need to be a "normal" person again.  lol  we can't all log forever, ya know?

I really want to stop logging and be a "normal" person again.  I'm just afraid to right now... don't trust myself.  I'm afraid I'll end up right back where I started in no time.  But - I think I'm obsessive about it, which I don't like.

Any tips or advice that you've learned or discovered about your new experience in not logging all your food? 

i dunno.  not really, not yet.  right now, it's just that i'm up when i figure i will be up & i'm down when i try to lose from being up.  like if i'm up, i'll try to walk and/or exercise more.

yesterday, though, i know i ate way too much.  i ate alot at night, too.  a chocolate binge, mainly...  then i was down a little today when i had totally expected to be up.   :D

all i can figure is that it must've been the walking that helped me out there.  i walked 4 miles yesterday. 

i think the burn numbers are wrong.  i think there's no way to really know how much a single person burns, because you don't only burn when you exercise.  it raises your metabolism for hours & even for the whole day if you exercise in spurts instead of one session.  ya know what i mean?

i WAS totally obsessed with every calorie before & now i try to constantly remind myself that a pound is 3500 calories.  that's alot!  so, if i eat a little more or less on any given day it shouldn't even matter.  it should all average out & it seems to.

so, i just do it.  i eat whatever & try to still make better choices than i used to.  i think the exercise is a huge part of not gaining though.   so...  i'm off to walk now!  LOL  hopefully 4 miles before i go meet hubby for lunch.  :D

You sound like you're doing great and what you said all makes sense.  Good for you!  You go girl!!  ;)

Hopefully I will get to that point someday soon.

yeah, well, i'm still working on that theory, but i really think it's gonna be so much better to someday be naturally thin & active instead of counting calories forever.

there must be millions of thin people out there who have never counted a day in their lives.  so i'm trying to learn the differences in them.

like for one, they don't eat when they're full, yet they eat whatever they want.  lol  they tend to eat slower...  i dunno.  stuff like that.  :D  oh!  and they are active.

i never ate fruits & veges before & now i make sure to have at least 5 servings a day.  it's most always over 5 servings, too!

you'll get to this point someday.  :D  just don't try it unless you're really sure you're ready.

136 again.  Was down to 133 one day as I was skipping my 1/2 sandwich lunch at work, but weekend (couple of restaurant meals) got me back up.  Feeling great anyway.
