Do you make the bed daily?

I don't. In fact I hardly ever make the bed. I don't see the point in wasting my precious morning time by making a bed that is going to get messed up again.

I don't "make" the bed...I just straighten my sheets and bedspread so its not all wound up in a clump at the bottom.

I used to not EVER, but now my master bedroom is right off the living and kitchen area, so unless I keep the door closed, I have to look at all day.   So now I just kind of throw the covers up, but I don't make it "pretty" (tucking, putting on the pillows with the shams etc)  unless someones coming over.

I used to then I got fed up... so I purchased a duvet in order to simply elevate it like a table cloth and let it fall perfectly covering every corner of the bed: Then I through the 2 big pillows (which apparently I only use for higging when im asleep) and its all set.

define "make."

i don't like the sheets tucked in tight, so i don't do that even when i put on clean sheets.  but i do pull the duvet up to meet the pillows in the morning, mostly because the dog sleeps on the bed while i'm at work.  i don't mind dog hair on the bed so much, but i don't want it in the bed.

This is me as well.  German Shepherds shed alot.

I leave the covers all twisted or clumped at the bottom on a regular basis. So does my SO. We straighten it out at night when we get back in.

Ok, to me making the bed is more than just pulling the covers up. To me it would be making everything straight and pretty. Most of the time I don't even bother pulling up the covers.

I understand pulling up the covers to keep dog hair out of the bed. My labrador can't jump up on our bed, it is too high and she's too fat and lazy. My cats sleep on the corner of our bed during the day, but they always pick a spot where the covers are all bunched up, cuz they like to make a nest in the covers.

I have never made my bed not even when i was a kid, i prefer getting into an unmade bed it's warmer especially in the winter.

Well I pull the covers up and unwind my sheets in the morning because I usually end up throwing my clean laundry on it during the day, or end up crawling into it already half asleep at night.  Who wants to unwind sheets when they can barely keep their eyes open?

I don't really make my bed, my mom told me I should make my bed every morning when I got my roommate... I thought, "Ma, I'm living with this lady, she'll have to deal with all kinds of crap that I do, I think she can live without me making the bed."

I don't sleep on a bed, so no. But I see the point of not making your bed every morning. It is nice to have it straightened, but spending all that time on the bed is one of the less important things to do. Unless you love a really nice lookin' bed. In which case, go for it! :P

What do you sleep on?

fighting the urge to you to your homes and make your beds.

yes, either I or my husband make the bed every morning...complete with throw pillows.

It doesn't feel the same if I get in it unmade.

Needles.

No, wait...

The couch. :D When I move into a dorm on campus or a house near campus I will probably get a futon, but for now I can rock the couch thing.

We don't even touch our bed when we get up. Sometimes, I might pull the covers up so it looks decent, but never anything fancy. Like someone else had said, if the dog goes on the bed, it's ok as long as it's not on on the bed, but on the covers.

I used to make my bed as a child every single day... and I think I purposely rebel that now. Cool

I'm the opposite, I used to leave my bed unmade ALL the time as a teen and it was a constant source of argument with my parents, and I thought once I moved out I would never ever have to defend leaving my bed unmade again.

Turns out I like having a nicely made bed. I hate coming home from work and seeing the covers all scrunched up. I used to do it up well with shams and throw pillows, but since the Bedbug Incident, I have simplified and just have a duvet.

i use a quilt and no flat sheet.

*two-handed flick*

done.

I don't make the bed.

However, lately I pull the comforter up over the pillows.  Not neatly, just haphazardly. I started doing this because our cats (or one of them) had gotten mad at us when we went on vacation and decided to use our bed as a litter box.

I had to do some major laundry magic to get the smell out, but I'm not giving them easy opportunities to repeat the act.  Hopefully it won't become a habit for them.

The bed bug incident does not sound fun in any kind of way. :0

I don't even have a comforter or anything on my bed - just recently got a frame for it so it isn't on the floor anymore!  As a child, it was always something my mother WANTED me to do, but something that rarely got done unless someone was coming over.  As an adult, my husband would like it if I did it (yes, he has mentioned it), but it isn't important to me.  Perhaps for my birthday I will get a nice comforter set to inspire me, except, I just got a vaccum for my birthday.  Hmmm....
