Does it Really Make a Big Difference in losing weight not eating after 7 p.?
I eat after 10pm at night and I've lost nearly 80 pounds in 5.5 months.
If you don't exceed your daily allotment of calories, eat when you want.
=^..^= MOLLY
Otherwise, I doubt it matters, just calories!
No, it makes no difference.
It's a good idea to eat your evening meal a couple hours before you go to sleep, or you won't digest as well or sleep as well. But there's no set time.
i guess every person is different. that seems to be my biggest lesson since beginning a diet fetish.
I didn't used to think it mattered, except with me, I have trouble if I eat too close to bedtime, then I don't want to eat breakfast, and then I eat too much during the day....so I don't eat anything up to 2 hours before I go to bed, that way I am hungry in the morning and then I eat better meals thru the course of the day. Otherwise, I don't want breakfast, and then I feel like I am playing "catchup" the rest of the day and eat poorly. Does that make any sense?
The only problem I've ever had is if I eat too much too close to bed-time, I usually have major digestive issues the next day.
I don't think I've ever heard anything about it affecting your weight, though.
a lot of people say to eat a very small dinner, and then to eat absolutely nothing past 7 P.M. this apparently WILL help you loose weight!
if you eat a lot at night, then you go to sleep, you dont burn off those calories doing every day things like you do in the daytime. eating a large breakfast, small lunch, and even smaller dinner is supposed to help you loose/maintain your weight. i find this very hard to do, because i end up being starving at night time and always feel the need to pig out.
i think it does help you loose weight, but like everything else you need to do to loose weight, it takes a whole lot of will power.
eating before bed won't make you gain weight just because you ate before a period of inactivity, because u will again be active and start burning away.
really, eating before bed is only a small "suggested" no-no because when you're sleeping its better if all of you is sleeping, digestive system included. although this won't affect your health MAJORLY or anything, it's just been "said" that you will get a better nights sleep and be less likely for whatever minor digestive issues they were talking about....i read it in a prevention health magazine a few months back. nothing serious will come from eating before bed, and they "say" you will feel more refreshed in the morning if u dont sleep on a full stomach but.....ive never had a problem with it though, im sure not many others have noticed a big problem either
