Make the decision! What is your batting average? Create your dream board.
Think of something you decided to do and did it. When you decided to say plan your wedding how did that process work? First you decied how you wanted it it look and how many you were going to invite. Then maybe you found the location and ordering you cake, flowers and of course the dress. for six months you are planning your wedding in your head. The day you made the decision that yes this is where I will have my wedding and these are the flowers and yes this dress is perfect and on such and such a date I WIll Marry him/her.
What was the decision process what moved you from wanting to, thinking aobut it to actually following through? You made the decision. It was that simple. I hear so many times people talking about loosing weight but never actually making the desion to do it. tehy talk about it , moan about but never do it.
What if you wanted to get married but never followed through on any of the steps to make that happen. No one can do it for you you have to show up for yourself. You have to get the licence. If you did not show up and do not do what you needed to do you would not get married. Is planning a wedding easy? NOT! is is the end result with the effort?
It is no differnt loosing fat. You must make the desion to do what you need to do to make it happen. It is simple. You reduce calories and you loose weight. How much yoiu loose depends on your ativity level how many calories you take in. How fast you loose has to do with several things but your commitment to your desion to loose is the biggest one. Make the desion today and like your wedding in six months or a year you will have a success. You will be standing on the scale at the weight you decided to reach or the size you desided to fit in to or the fat % you know is healthy for you. You are inn control.
How important is it to you. Do you really see the benifits of you loosing the weight. How would your life change if you lost the weight you want to? Would you look better? Would you feel better? Would your colesteraol go down? would your blood suger come under contro.? Would you be able to do things that you love that you can not do today? Would you help your heart health? Could you ride that bike agian or play tennis again. Could you play with the kids or grand kids? Could you get down on the floor withour wonderng if you could get back up. Could you go to the airoport without fear they will charge you for an extra seat or ask you to get off the plane?
How important is it to you. If you just want to look better that is probably not going to be motivation to loose the weight and keep it off. But if you have a bigger picture a bigger why you will be moore likly to be successful.
Create a dream board by cutting out pctures of things that you would do when you loose the weght. New clothes, various activities, 5 k, playing with some kids in a park. riding a bike, hiking, sitting on the floor with your grandkids what ever it is that would change in your life put it in pictures and hang it where you can see it every day.
Look at the end result but appreciate the process. Apprecaite you successess. Becasue it is an average .Do not view having dinner with your loved ones as a failure or a need to start over. If you do what you need to do you will be able to enjoy going out to dinner or a family gathreing. They do not happen everyday . You are doing this for a better quality of life. Enjoy life. Moderataion in al things.
It is all about the average. Like a baseball players batting average. He is not considered successful because he hits a home run everytime he is up to bat. He is successful becasues of his average. You can have a successful average also.
The graph of your weight loss on this tool will show you are going in the right direction even when you can not feel it. Take pictures so you can see the progression. Take pictures of you in somehting you can not get into and then take pictures of you a few weeks later untill it zips up or buckels or your arms fit in it. It is hard to see your own success but if you put it pictures it is hard to deny. find things that are encouraging to you and do those things.
