Can you make up your calories?

I read somewhere that you should calculate your caloric intake for the entire week rather than for the day.  Not sure how that works but if I was to eat very little one day and eat a little more the next day does that balance things out?  Just curious..

I might have heard of this, but never read exclusivly about it.

I feel safer tracking my calories day by day which also makes me want to exercise day by day and not once at the end of the week when I see my weekly calories are super high, you know?

Consistancy is key, too. You can't pump 3,000 cals into you on monday and then eat barely 500 cals tuesday thinking that'll even out. *(I'm not saying that's what you meant, I'm just being extreme!)
Aiming for about the same calories each day is safer and healthier, and if you do the weekly caloric count then you'd probably be starving yourself by friday just trying to stay under that number... or at least that's what I'd do. Day by day is easy and smooooth.
Thanks. I was just curious because I was wondering how many calories would someone need for a week if they don't know how many time they would actually workout for that week.  I don't know to me it is confusing I don't even want to learn more about it.  I finally just grasped the whole eating back the calories you burn topic so I am just going to continue that.  lol..
ajtimes, I don't think the body is on a weekly cycle -- more like a 2-3 day cycle.  some experts say it takes 3 days for the food we eat in excess to actually be deposited as fat.
