How to make yourself feel better on your weight loss
How do I mini reward myself for losing weight?
When at the supermarket I pick up a bag/ sack of potatoes equivalent to what I have lost and walk a few paces before placing back.
Quite an eye opener, and certainly motivates you to continue with the new lifestyle.
EDIT: Fat fingers and small keyboard cause poor typing.

First of all, congratulations! It pays off. :)
I don't recommend rewarding yourself with sugar, because that will make you feel guilty. So why not buy yourself something new? Go see a new movie. Have a night on the town! Go frolicking and shout to the heavens! lol
I have marked on my calendar the release dates of music albums and movies on DVD, so I'm rewarding myself by buying one of those when I reach a goal.
If I've lost some when I weight myself tomorrow, I'm going to go buy The Guardian on DVD. If not, I will wait until February 10th's weigh in, and if I've done well then, I will buy it! I guess it depends when I meet my first goal. I'm just aiming to lose something because I just started, and after that it's something for myself for every 5 pounds I lose. I figure if I set the bar any higher, I won't be motivated as much.

When I lose 3 more lbs, I am rewarding myself with a new book by my favorite author that comes out on Tuesday. Then 5 lbs after that, I am rewarding myself with the new Norah Jones CD that came out this week! No food rewards for me...makes me feel like I'm defeating the purpose for myself and my goals!
Roj... the post description's killing me ;)
Do you mind editting it and fixing the typos? :)
And, yes, I think having some visual of exactly how much WEIGHT you've lost can really keep you motivated, whether it be in.. potatos or cat litters or.. children (as someone did yesterday :) )

I agree that non-food rewards are really the way to go...Although I just decided to switch to a more healthy lifestyle just three days ago, I already have my rewards planned out! I want to get a hair cut/highlight, a tanning subscription (even though I know it's not good for me!), new clothes, and a tattoo! These are the best kinds, because you can feel good when you get them, not bad because you've eaten something that's not good for you. Keep up the great work!
I can't even lift 27 pounds! How did I carry it around with me for all that time? No wonder I was tired.
I get products!
I just got an amazing body scrub Grapefruit & Chamomile, makes my skin soft and smoothe and smells like healthy bright fruits! An uplifting experience in the shower that pays off all around.
Massages. Oh, massages. Best investment ever. Reduces stress all around, makes exercising feel even better, that is a REAL treat. No calories and a clear mind.

Some of the things I have bought on my way down: New earrings. A pedicure. New workout clothes to motivate me to continue going to the gym. New songs from itunes to listen on my ipod while I am at the gym. I've only lost 30 lbs and about 1 clothing size but I've bought a new pair of pants that were too tight and now getting just right to help motivate me. New shirts. Lately I am getting to the point where I need a new bra since the girls are shrinking, too. :-)
