Does anyone else agree? I am 5'7" very small framed and 122 pounds- however when I lose 3 pounds and get down to 119 pounds I feel like a different person and soooo much better about myself- I noticed drinking tons of water can help you do this in about a week- anyone else have similar results?
140lbs and 5'7 target 125 (so jealous of you).
3lbs isnt huge and i wouldnt see it much on myself and i dont think others would notice it. But being bloated and retaining water; compared with when youve been eating healthy for a few days and your tummy deflates then that can feel amazingly different. Prehaps your body is 119lbs and youve losts that 3lbs of bloat, (strangley enough drinking loads water can help you flush out excess water)

also you havent put a picture up, please add one or email it, i really need to see the 122lbs body that im aiming for, as most 5'7 people on here have higher goals/current weights.
Ok I will have to post pic at some point- very small framed as I said but bottom heavy so therefore the 3 pounds seems to make all the difference in jeans and in bathing suit! I must do squats- I heard those are great.
Yeah I guess you are right about the working out thing- I do the stairmaster for 45 minutes everyday and 100-200 sit ups and 20 girlie push ups- I am so weak- sometimes I get so frustrated becasue I do work out very hard that I wish my butt was toner- frustrating- but those 3 pounds with all the working out- I hope will make me feel better- going to Florida in 2 weeks- I am alot nicer when I feel thinner...
oh im very bottom heavy check my picture its huge. oh now im disappointed though id be happy with 125lbs but looks like if 3lbs makes all the difference 119 my new goal. i guess when you are that slim 3lbs is probably a big percentage of your body fat
Squates are not great they hurt. I did my first body pump class last night which was squats etc with a 8lbs weights - it was killer but i loved it -think my bottom and legs will be rock solid after a few more classes, i just need to shift the layer of fat that hides the muscle :-(

Every body has a different shape- you are in a bikini and do not look horrible at all- good for you that you are even in one- I have to get in a bathing suit in 2 weeks and I hate that I feel like I have to wear swim shorts over my suit- it seems impossible to get the fat on the very top of the back of my legs just below my butt ot go away- it is so loose and grosse, but yet I am slim and tight abs- sooo annoying- I hear you about shifting the fat...
JRise ~ Have you considered incorporating weights into your workout?
Yes I should add weights I know- sporadically I do- I should try and keep it up- undertherainbow- how tall are you and how much do you weigh? Just curious.
I think the weight you are at is perfect right now (and is still within a healthy range) and you shouldn't concentrate so much on losing pounds but shift it to losing body fat and gaining muscle. If you dropped down to 119lbs that would put you in the underweight category.
Thanks undertherainbow- what about the ball- lying down with feet up on the ball and raising your butt- that should help-no?
That would be a great question to post in the fitness forum. I am sure there are others out there that have tried it and can share their experiences.
three pounds makes a TON of difference...
basically I think it's the bloat and that after loosing that "weight" (aka water weight) you feel lighter and healthier--or at least I do. I'm recovering from a nasty binge week--thank God for finals right?--and can't wait to begin my healthy eating/excercising habits so I can go back to the way I was...

I know- I have such bad binge weeks but am trying now- it really just takes 2 days of eating right and not eating much at night to feel better- but all of a sudden I am craving sweets and it is the weekend and all, but I am trying to be strong.
yea 3lbs is that much of difference. Like stated above depends on ur body fram I guess, Ur smaller frame so, it would make a diff for u, however Im bigger and recently lost 6lbs this week and I cant SEE a difference, but just KNOWING that I lost it makes me feel good. U however probably can SEE a difference.
THATS WEIRD. I am also 5'7 but i weigh 121. I need to start drinking more water. I usually only drink about one glass a day. i could start drinking 8-10 a day to lose some weight.
Losing those three pounds drops you from 20 BMI to 19 BMI. So yeah, it would make a big difference. You're probably starting to see muscle definition because your body fat is low.
I'm only 5'0" tall, but I have noticed a huge difference just in the last two pounds, going from 107 to 105 (which is roughly the difference between 21 BMI and 20 BMI). The difference is most noticeable in my upper body, which is stubborn and one of the last places I lose. My waist is looking a lot better too. But I still have just enough padding to look soft and feminine, which I like.
I'm very happy at this weight - if I drop down to 19 BMI, I think I'd lose my chest. Don't want to do that! And even if my stomach looked better, frankly, I have so much saggy skin from my pregnancies, it won't matter much. Also, I fear it would be impossible to find clothes. I'm already starting to have a little trouble: 0's are fitting loosely - just right - on me. Considering how short I am, if I drop out of the 0's, and it'll be slim pickings... I'll be shopping in the children's section for girls size 14's.

I am also about 5'6-7" and have just lost about four pounds over the last month which puts me at 122, I am aiming for 118-120. The four pounds so far has made a huge difference in the way I feel! When I am down around 120 I don't have "fat" days where I feel all bloated and nothing fits. I can wear any of my clothes and feel confident all day and not always be worrying and sucking in my gut. I know it must sound crazy to some people but I totally know what you are talking about!
I would love to have that same problem at 186lb, 5 6', I would be very happy if I were you on your fat days! LOL. What I dont understand about myself, is when I stick to the recommended calories per day designed for me, I dont lose weight, however when I eat anything without worrying about calories, I get up the next morning and weight atleast 6lbs less!!!! Any ideas anyone?
I feel totally different too, but I think that is to do with me weighing less than 120lbs finally lol. I love being 118-119, and would love to be less, but I probably don't look any different. If you want to see someone 5'7 and 118-120lbs look at my pictures, I think you'll understand my need to be 115 lol.
my weight changes by 3 pounds in a day so i don't think it makes that huge of a difference personally. i'm 5'5" and i don't think my body noticibly changes to anyone but myself unless it's by 10 lbs.
