Have you read the book and/or done this "diet"?  I wanted to hear the pros and cons from people... I have been doing the 30 day shred (the video that goes with this diet book) I will do day five today and wanted to see if anyone has any opinons.  The video is defnitly tough.  I can see my endurence getting better as the days go on.  But any opinons would be great.

I have read the book, and it's a good read. It's probably nothing you haven't heard/read before, but there are some interesting "tests" you can take to find out a little more about your body profile and what you should/shouldn't be eating. The exercises in the book are probably similar to what's on the video. I have her two previous videos, and I find that some parts are challenging, but you can't use very heavy weights because of the speed of the exercises. I think her workouts are ok for cardio, but I always need additional strength training with heavier weights. Also, I think the workouts are pretty short - 25 minutes isn't enough time to burn a significant amount of calories unless your intensity is really high (which hers isn't).

I really like Jillian on The Biggest Loser, but her videos and what she says in her books don't seem to be as tough as how she portrays herself on the show.

Good luck with 30 Day Shred - I hope it works for you. You might check out Cathe Freidrich - she's awesome. I know you would see results with any of her workouts! (www.cathe.com)

thanks for the advice...I did join Jillian's online program before and that is when I lost a majority of my weight.  I read a lot of reviews about the 30 day shred before I went about buying it...almost all the reviews were fabu so i went for it.  I have been doing it for 5 days and have seen my endurance improve everyday...I am only at level one I can't wait to see how the next two levels are.  I am not seeing much improvement yet in my body but it is my period week and I haven't been eating right but tomorrow I am going to start watching what I am eating again and hopefully with all the elements I can reach what I have been aiming for for months.

I agree.   I don' t think her book is that good.  I was a little disappointed.  Basic information and some recipes but overall not what I was looking for.

i got the book for motivation and inspiration. i was getting kind of bored of my usual workouts and thought this would change it up a bit. i was shocked with all the pushups in the workouts!!! i swear my arms got bigger....but not like looking hot toned bigger, but ilike amazon chick bigger. i felt this way about my legs too. so i stopped doing her workouts.

i would still recommend the book for basic information and some workout ideas. i never tried any of her recipes because i am a vegan and most of the recipes included non-vegan food items.
