I was craving chocolate and couldn't get it off my mind.....I was so wanting some yummy oreos...So I am proud to say I ate only 3. Okay that isn't great but I usually eat about 10! I stopped at 3.....wanting more so much but I stopped and now I am satisfied.......
DANG oreos are so dang YUMMY to me!
Michelle
Michelle I have to tell you how sincerely impressed I am with your willpower! As people have said... I don't know what it is about them but oreos tend to have some sort of magnetic force just saying EAT ME EAT ME... JUST ONE... and then another... and then another... hahaha
Props for eating 3! You're great motivation to keep it all in moderation! =)
They sell Oreos in Japan but I seldom buy them.
But a friend in the states sent us a care package at Xmas with these things from Trader Joe's called "Joe-Joes" they are basically Oreas, but with crushed candy canes mixed into the cream part. Oh. My. God. Minty Oreos have to be the most unbelievably delicious substance ever known. I had five in a row one day. I can resist Oreos prety well, but please don't send me Joe-Joes!
Before I watched what I ate, I used to make them into "Double Stufs" then dunk them in milk and eat like 10 at a time. But I pretty much avoid them now...
Good Girl! I am glad you stopped @ just 3, after all that is a serving size! So I think that equals roughly 150 calories! Perfect snack size! I do hope you SEALED the bag of oreos so you cannot get back into them! haha!
I too am so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who has a problem with oreos. Once I start I can't stop. And what I don't get is that they never fill me up. I can eat a whole row of them and keep going, even if I'm drinking something with them. They never seem to expand in my stomach and fill it up. LOL...... One thing that has helped me lately with stuff like that is I keep it in a baby-proof cabinet that locks automatically when you close it, so you need a magnet to re-open it. So it kind of makes it inconvenient to get go the mangnet to open the cabinet (maybe I should try hiding the magnet or having a family member hide it....lol).
One thing I like when I crave chocolate that doesn't make me feel so guilty is fat-free/sugar-free hot chocolate. It's only around 50 calories a cup. I add a dash of Splenda and drink it while eating my 100 calorie popcorn pack and I have a 150 calorie snack that is VERY filling, and takes care of my salty & sweet craving at the same time. I wish I had some now in this cold weather (it's stormy here in So. Cal).
I only have one pack for the day.
Luckily my family finished em off tonight so I can't go get some, I don't know if I'd be as strong as Michelle and only have 3... =P
Before I changed my eating habits I used to take a cup of milk, stack oreos in it and set a spoon on top to hold them under, than I would eat them once they started getting soft...YUMMY!
By the way, the dark chocolate thing does work with cravings! I believe I have 70% dark cocoa bars...I bought 3 of them about a year ago and have just gotten through one of them! (I only eat a square every couple weeks...VERY rarely! Sometimes not even that often though) but if I get a craving it kills it big time!
Great job though!! 3 is WAY better than eating 10 or more :D
mmmm...i looove oreos!! theyre sooo addictive and its goes really good with crunchy peanut butter! luckily i manage to stop at the 4th one as im usually to full to carry on lol...i think its the peanut butter that really fills me up. if i was having oreos on its own id probably hav about 10!
