maple syrup diet

hello ev eryone..

i was thinking to start the maple syrup, caynne pepper diet tomorrow, and i will only do it for seven days, because i have something very important jan 25.

has anyone ever tried this?

im not sure how the maple syrup is going to make you lose any weight its full of sugar and god knows what else. cayenne pepper? Yikes if i had to mix the 2 of them just to lose weight I would rather stay fat.

Good luck I hope you can still have an amount of taste buds left from all the hot pepper for 7 days straight.

So much information on here to help you lose weight correctly you might want to start reading some of those posts first before you confine yourself in a room with your pepper and syrup.
@angiethe: and then you are only thinking about the cayenne going in, imagine how it will be coming out, and THAT for 7 days..............OUCH !!!
I've done this before, also for seven days and lost 7 pounds. It was very hard, I kept craving solid food and the weight came back on after I started eating again. It's a quick fix, up to you if you want to try it, I wouldn't do it again.

if you are trying to slim down for an event, a body wrap may be a safer, better and far more fun bet.

 this 'diet' or 'fast' the master-cleanse or what-have-you is finally hitting the news as dangerous~

How can a diet that involves pure sugar and pepper possibly be unhealthy?! Go go natural selection!!

 

First, it's called The Master Cleanse.  Second, it's not a diet.  And third, if you are going to do it buy the book and do it correctly.
What will they think of next.  Who the heck sat down and said "Hmm I think I'll have maple syrup and cayenne pepper for breakfast"  I know there is more to it but...geez.

Make sure that if you do this cleanse, that you buy grade "B" maple syrup.  The maple syrup is providing you your nutrients in this mix, and if it's grade "A" maple syrup, it's been processed too much and is lacking the same quantity of nutrients that you will get from grade "B".  It's tough to find, you'll have to go to a health-foods store to get it.

I did this cleanse for only a few days and found the pepper to be very irritating to my stomach lining, so I had to quit.  I've had more success sticking to juice fasts.  I'm currently doing a colon cleanse which involves a drink and only fruit for 6 days (email me if you want the details). 

I've always lost weight on cleanses, and they do seem to work for last minute emergencies (like fitting into a dress).  But if you're trying to really lose weight, fasts, or cleanses are NOT the way to go.  I'm doing my cleanse for health and realize that I'll have to return to my routine diet as soon as I'm finished and all of the weight may come back on.

Go watch 'Super Skinny Me' and then ask yourself if you REALLY want to put your  body through that kind of punishment for the sake of a few pounds of water-weight?
I tried this maple syrup thing all for 3 days.I got was heartburn and my stomach was on fire all the time.It even made my bathroom visits burn LOL 
I am going to do this with you. My progress is showing very slightly in the mirror. I say foods are substances because they make you feel  a certain way when a certain of food is ingested .And they are strongly tied to emotions. I just saw a taiwanese  article that did some research on peppers,some people are already saying the lemon water  with cayenne & NO MAPLE syrup ,it hepling sooo much in the mornings to get going,it is believed the hot feeling your getting from the pepper is,"THE BURN" of calories.This stuff supposed   {helps} to burn more calories from fat.Through out the day. I also is clearing up a 2- 3 month cold .Hot stuff,helps,basted garlic once a week helps. I have been managing it,and very creepishly and am seeing to tiny bit of difference since last week.The pay off feels goods,VICTORY... Well, then eat something sensible first, gosh,make sense,don't just starve that way

Am I the only one on this site that requires scientific validation from credible sources before doing anything as stupid as 'detoxifying' or sticking something up my arse to 'cleanse'?

Seriously...critical thinking doesn't have calories.

 

isnt this the diet beyonce did to lose 20lbs in 2 weeks for a movie, well it was only short term but whatever you lose you may gain back quickly its not a viable option to lose weight I dont think its even detoxing,
Yes, it is the diet Beyonce did and after she had filmed the movie she pigged out on fried chicken and gained all the weight back because she'd learnt nothing about healthy eating by doing this.

loredemer, my understanding is that B grade maple syrup is made from late season sap. It's very dark, strong flavored, boiled-to-death stuff that used to be really cheap, and was used mainly for cooking. A grade is more expensive and lighter colored. If any maple syrup lacks quality and is overprocessed it's B grade. Both of them are made from sap from the same trees. I can't imagine any reason why nutrient levels would be any different between the two.

According to the Mayo Clinic, "However, there is no evidence that detox diets actually remove toxins from the body. Most toxins in the body are very efficiently and effectively removed by the kidneys and liver and excreted in urine and stool."

thats right the only toxins that could be removed would be the ones that are stored in fat so any weight loss diet would work for that
