Marbled Chocolate Cheesecake

It's beautiful isn't it? Ok, does anyone have any idea how many calories this could POSSIBLY be??? I'm not trying to count atm, but I'm trying to watch my sodium intake to avoid bloating...and also, knowing the calories would make it easier for me to eat a slice (not huge, not tiny) without the guilt.
Guestimates are greatly appreciated. :)
(btw, the lighter brown thing at the bottom is the tray, not another layer of chocolate/cake! the cake ends at the darkest, foamy layer :D)
It looks as though most marbled cheesecakes that are normal diameter (not sure what that is, but i'm assumed 12"?) are around 3000 calories total, so depending on how you divide the cake, that would be your caloric intake.
Unless that's a Cheesecake Factory cake, then it would total around 3 million calories. Those things are ridic.
Whoops I'm silly I should've included more info about the cake :P It's about 8 1/2"-9" in diameter (across?) and almost 1 1/2" high. It's also made by Kirkland Signature, bought from Costco. Their cakes are known to be quite rich...
Haha, I've heard of Cheesecake Factory. Unfortunately/fortunately, we don't have those in Canada. (y/n)
Well the one sold at trader joe lists 320 callories per an 85gram piece.
UD
oooo bad news, 6400 cals for the whole thing, equaling 400 cals for 1/16th of the cake.
Edit: This was for a regular cheesecake, so it's probably slightly more for a marbled cake.
Oh woww thats reDONKulous! Where'd you find that! I've found the most contradictory facts about Costco foods idk what to believe anymore :P I guess no cheesecake for me then :(
By the by, was the Trader Joe's one chocolate marbled cheesecake? If so...hmm... ;)
I got the info from the website I use to count calories (www.thedailyplate.com) and they're pretty right on with the info (unfortunately)!
Ugh, poo :( Oh well...I think I'll still email them to be certain...but that's a definite bummer :P
Probably about 4-5 calories per gram - which is 112 to 140 calories per ounce. It's my rule of thumb for junk food and it works remarkably well.
Mmmm! Looks very nice. I say enjoy a slice of it. It may be around 300-400 calories. Just don't over indulge.
The old saying comes to mind "Everything in moderation".
Our problem isn't that we have these foods, its having them too often and in large quantities that causes the problems.
It looks so very yummy *licking monitor*
Can you pop some in the post for me? ![]()
*licking monitor again*
Just to wrap up the post, for those who are interested, I contacted Kirkland/Costco and they promptly sent me the info. Here it is:
1/12 of the cake (134 g)
550 kCal
34g fat (17 sat fat, 1 trans)
70 mg cholesteral
260 sodium
53 carbs (40 sugar, 3 fibre)
7 protein
So yeah...still half the cake in my fridge, but still haven't touched it. We shall see... ;)
I would have to throw that out before I ate it, or take it to work and put it out for others - they may not love you for it though.
When I want sweets I go to a closet where we keep snacks to put out for clients (I work in a law office) and I "steal" a couple of hershey's kisses or miniatures. If I buy a whole bag, I eat the whole bag. No control, so I just don't buy it.
