Getting married 2009/2010?
Hi, I just got engaged a few weeks ago and will be getting married next June 2010. I wanted to know if anybody else is getting married this year or next year to see how the wedding planning and weight loss/gain efforts are going. Hopefully we can motivate each other.
So far I've tried on a couple of dresses that has me very excited and I'm looking for a reception hall which is turning out to be trickier than I thought it would be.
I'm aiming to have a great arms/shoulders/back for the wedding dress
.
eBay for the glass stands and extras butterfly's balloons family members will do flowers pretty vase cheap was like £4 each yay with oasis £10 for 12(eBay ) (Lilly's and baby's breath ) cream pebbles going for a ivory / cream / gold
Very nice! Yes, I'm most definitely going to try and save money for the centre pieces. I want a pretty simple bouquet, nothing extravagant. Will still be expensive probably.
I'm getting married next June too!! We are having a small wedding in Jamaica (at Sandals Grande Ocho Rios), then hving a big reception when we come home. I've lost 27.5 pounds so far, 12.5 more to my goal!!! I'm so excited to start trying on dresses, i'm going with my mom in a few weeks. Any suggestions from people already deeper in the planning process?
I am getting married May 22, 2010 =)
Congratulations
Congrats ladies!
Mabenner1~ Wow that weight loss is great!! Good for you!
I tried on dresses today and found my dress!! I'm SO excited. Not bad on the wallet either. I haven't bought it yet but I will most likely.
Blerg.
I'm on a new medication for my stomach problems - and one of the side effects is weight gain. My wedding dress barely fits and my wedding is in less then three weeks.
Do you think I sould stop taking the medication for the next few weeks, or just try to tough it out? Seriously, I can't wear the crinoline anymore, it won't zip. I've gained 4 pounds this week, and six since my last fitting ![]()
I'm getting married in 45 days!
My upcoming nuptuals actually stopped my dietting and constant fretting over my weight. I'm not fat, not skinny either. Curvy 5'6, 150lbs and eat sensibly 80% of the time and enjoy homemade cakes, biscuits and breads the other 20% of the time. I used to force myself to go to the gym, now I spend time with H2B instead and really enjoy our life eating ice creams in the sun. :o)
I monitor my weight, and if I hit 154lbs then I cut down a litte or walk a bit more, but he didn't propose because i'd lost 10lbs, or had goals to fit into a size 10, I'll never be that girl and would he love me if I was......? He proposed because I'm me, and because the person that I am now is who he wants to spend his life with. I'm so happy with that!!
Hey ladies, do you think 25 mins is long enough for a ceremony? that's all they are giving us at the place we want to book.
Hi slimfit, my fiance and I are having our sisters marry us (they got ordained in the Universal Church of Life.) We have told them they can say whatever they want, provided it lasts under 5 minutes.
Long wedding ceremonies (generally, there have been some exceptions) bring out the eye-roll in me, and they keep everyone away form the best part - having a big party with dancing, family and food to celebrate your happiness!
This may not work for everyone. We are having the ceremony and reception in one place, so it works for us :)
Thanks for your response Mel, I appreciate it. Now that I think about it, 25 mins should be long enough. Now here comes the question of where?! LOL I have the option of an outdoor ceremony + nice pics that is a 45 min drive or indoor/candlelit ceremony + nice pics that's really close to me. I would rather an outdoor wedding but the drive may be too long for some people. I don't know?!
Is my sodium intake too low?
