I want to lose 80lbs by my wedding day, November 2009. Is anyone else on here trying to lose weight for their wedding? I really could use some friends, and support!

Plenty of us are.  I've got about sixteen more pounds to lose before my wedding date in late May.  I figured if I can get to 140, I'll be cool beans and can focus solely on toning.  I'm hoping to make my wedding dress a size eight, just for shizz and giggles and to give myself something to do besides turn into a bridezilla.

So far I've lost...  Let's see, I was 186 when I got engaged, so thirty pounds?  Unless you count the seven I gained and lost when I started this thing, plus the other weight I lost since meeting my now-fiance, which would bring my total to over sixty pounds.

Eh, I'm sick and delusional so if I'm not making sense, I'll wake up in about an hour.

we are planning to get married in june (09) and i want to be at least 20 pounds lighter than i am now. I started at 157 and am down to 154 so far (i just started)...so here's another person on your side!

Well, lol, I'm not getting married, thankfully.  However, my son is getting married in July, 2009.  I'd like to lose at least 40 pounds by then.  I would not be at my goal weight yet, but the pictures would sure look better!  I don't know if a little over 4 pounds per month will come off though.......

I'm engaged and I'm a bridesmaid in my brother's wedding in september! I'm trying to really shape up because the dress my SIL picked is adorable and I want to fit in to it perfectly.

However I feel like my weight never moves. I bounce up and down with the same two lbs. any suggestions?

My "reward" for reaching my goal (another 35 lbs to go!) is my engagement ring.  Huge motivation!  I figure after that, I'll lose another 15 before we get married.

my wedding is in oct (yikes). i've lost 18lbs & im some what on maintenance now.  my body is better, but not quite where i want it to be. i only really started in january from a big winters break!

the best motivator for me was changing up my exercise routine every 6-8 weeks. by the time you are tired of your routine, say after 4 weeks, you know you only have 2 weeks left & can get all excited about what changes the next regime will bring. it's also easier to focus on rather than, "i have so many months before i need to look good in that dress."

I'm getting married September 27 of this year. I started at 190 with a goal of 135 by that date. I'm down 22 pounds right now at 168. According to the weekly goals I set I should be between 153 and 157 by now but I've found it hard to stick to my diet lately. Junk food is so much cheaper.

I'm getting married March 2009.  I want to lose at least 25 pounds before then.

I'm a wedding planner in Richmond, VA, and I can tell you from experience that the best thing you can do for yourself while planning a wedding is staying healthy. A regular exercise regime, healthy eating, and plenty of sleep. I cannot stress this enough! One month before your wedding, I highly suggest getting no less than 8 hours of sleep each night whenever possible, eating foods high in vitamin C, and working out regularly. The stress that comes in that last month, paired with all the parties and food, PLUS all the responsibilities and worries that keep you up nights... all that leads to a weakened immune system. Take care of yourself before the wedding, and your pictures will show it! You'll look glowing and happy, not haggard and worn out. :-)

Congratulations to all of you, and soak this time up. It goes by so fast!

Let me know if you ever need some free wedding advice. I'll do anything for my CC sisters.

I'm getting married in June 09.  I started CC in Feb and have lost 18 pounds -- it was a vacation goal more than a wedding goal at that point because I wasn't engaged at the time.  Now I have about 15 more to go to my final goal.  My fiance proposed in July on vacation, and that is enough motivation to get me to my final goal of 145.

Hi there!

I'm getting married in August of '09 so I have a year! (thank heavens!) But I figure it's better to get to where I want to be and maintain rather than worry about it as the day approaches. I started CC in Feb, lost almost 20 pounds so far, and now I'm working on the last 5-6 pounds to my goal but now I"m really trying to get serious about my fitness routine. I am having a hard time getting to the gym three days a week and getting up in the morning to jog! But my Mom is coming to visit me in October, and we're going to do some dress shopping, so I want to high-tail it into a smaller size soon!

Good luck everyone!

I'm coming in super late... however I'm getting married December 5th (yikes! only 3.5 months to go) and I started out around 148 (my dress was a size 12 and fit perfect) now I am down to 129-132 and plan on losing another 8-10 pounds. I've been CCing and working out 4-6 days a week since mid April. The past 3 weeks I have really slacked off but I just started over today. I am now in a size 6 dress and it feels WONDERFUL but I want to be in a 4! Good luck to you and I hope everything works out. Weddings are great motivation to get healthy. :-)

I have to start off by saying that you all are rather inspirational!

I am getting married in late May '09 and want to go from my current 165lbs to 125lbs.  Calorie-count says I can do it and I believe I can do it too!  Ive lost 20 lbs before using CC and I hope to be able to double that this time.

However, I have just moved to a new area and really know no one here and would love to have an accountability partner.  So if anyone else has around the same time-line as me and would like to buddy-up on accountability, that would be great.

Good luck to you all!  I know the wedding planning can be stressful but remember you only get to do it once (hopefully), so try and make it fun!
