I am about halfway through Jillian Michael's Master your Metabolism. Has anyone else read it?  If so what do you think?

Right now it all makes sense, but is really going to be a big change for me, I am hoping to fend off my PCOS symptoms.

And of course I would like to get healthy, without putting these harmful things in my body.

I haven't read that particular book but I often recommend to people with PCOS that they have a look out for Jennie Brand-Miller's book 'The Low GI Guide to Managing PCOS'..... you may well find some of the ideas overlap or that another author can cast a slightly different light on the same problem.  I follow a Low-Gi diet myself for reasons of weight-management and good health and haven't found it to be a major culture shock.  Don't know if the book you're reading is recommending something more radical.  Good luck

It's based on poorly interpretted science and anectdotal evidence.

There are a lot of much better resources available.

Dispatchn; I'm doing MYM right now, but I don't have PCOS.  I've noticed my skin improving though (I have mild cystic acne).

Sully; could you please reference some sources?  I'd like to learn more.

Just finished reading it, I have always loved Jillian and am going to try the plan to the best of my ability. Basically, if you don't take it ridiculously serious it lets you know that you should just eat whole foods and you won't be fat. That's my take.
