so is 1013 below avg avg or above avg to be burned a day?
Try to keep to a daily deficit of 500-700. Below 500 and 'operator error' can mean you don't lose weight. Over 1000 and you can find you end up feeling tired, hungry and seeing frustrating 'stalls' in your weight-loss. If you're going to do that amount of exercise on a regular basis, therefore, you could aim for 2000 cals a day
What gi-jane said. But I would recommend you take a look at what you are eating - mountain dew, hamburger helper, ramen, and beer... not the most balanced diet.
yeah thats a good point but on food choice i dont really have much of one so im stuck with the few things i do have .....a methstgirl???hahaaa sorry your names kinda cool like a-meth-is-ta-girl lol.....yeah
I'm with amethystgirl. I do think you should take a look at what you are eating, actually more like drinking. A mountain dew and, according to your calorie numbers, about a gallon and a half of coffee??? I drink a lot of coffee, but yikes! Assuming the sugar goes in your coffee, you are drinking almost half (~700 cals) of your 1643 calories. Plug your food/drink info into the food log on this site, then click on the analysis button on the top bar. It will help you evaluate how much carbs, protein, fat, sodium, alcohol, etc you are taking in and help you develop a better diet.
p.s. i did get an a on nutrition and i have an a for right now today : )
But based on what you posted, CC didn't assign a letter grade to the mountain dew, ramen, or beer - so your average grade didn't include those.
Oh, and my name - it's amethyst - the gem stone? Unrelated to any illegal substances :)
lol oh... hahaaa I thought you had a diet booster
Nah, I thought it would be better to keep my teeth and go about weight loss the more natural way.
yeah thats an awesome way to go then every bowl to your last just pisses you off cause you know your almost out......lol (guessing, kinda off-topic) so yeah great choice : )
I see you've been a member for 2 days. You've got an awful lot to learn.
now every once in awhile its alright to indulge, but you can still find healthier alternatives, I know some ppl eat unhealthily because they think good food isnt cheap. Trust me I'm on a very limited income & still find ways to eat healthy.
some good alternatives I've found...
cook a couple eggs in the morning with cooking spray - add some whole wheat toast(I get my bread for 1 dollar at walmart) maybe a glass of 1% milk...
also try tuna, with light mayo with whole wheat bread. avoid the sweet relish. :)
I also like a lot of fish. Its very good in omega 3 fatty acids which are good for the brain as well as the body. Find a vegetable you like to add to it.
try to avoid fried foods...
the best advice I can give you is burn more than you eat. if you burn around 2500 calories each day, you could benefit from eating around 2000(at least no less than 1800) otherwise you will burn yourself out from this 'diet'. technically I dont believe diets work. its all about moderating what you eat, and eating the healthiest choices available for your budget.
I started this new journey march 28th & have lost 17 pounds so far. I burn around 2200 calories a day, but I dont exercise as much as I should, but im running after a toddler all day so at least I get some. depends on how active you are, thats also how you figure out how much your calorie intake should be.
good luck!
and to the poster above me, ok if hes been a member for 2 days. why dont you try giving helpful advice. sounds like you're shaking your finger at him.
