honestly...im the last person to harp on someone for their weight loss goals, but ashleyyy, thats going a bit far.  we are all saying this out of concern, not to piss you off or turn on you.  im 2 inches shorter than you, small frame and i couldnt even dream of going that low without being sick.

if you dont like your appearance, you may want to try gaining muscle.  it does a world of difference for your body!

what you mentioned about your calorie limit being small, i hope it wont be under the minimum 1200 cals......!

OK,

Weighed in today. CW: 149. Goal: 140.

That's up 1.8 from my last weight, but it's my own fault. Stress from school and work have turned me to salt! Sushi and Chinese food have been my downfall. Oh well, I am still under 150. That is good.

I did work out today. So I won't be hard on myself. Will just keep walking the walk and putting one foot in front of the other.

I will weigh in again on Monday.

J-mom

Thanks for the concern, (kishmish, courtneylauren, amcm and stacimae) but honestly it's not as bad as it sounds. I don't carry weight well, so much that i actually get called fat a lot(ha), and i have muscles etc, so i'm just trying to look leaner, even if my goals are a bit drastic, i'll look normal.

:)xxxxx

im reallllyyyyyy frustrated.  i gained another pound...and the thing that bothers me, and its in no way muscle...theres no possible way i gained 3 lbs of muscle in the last 1.5 weeks....its not possible for women even with my heavy lifting....

i drink tons of water, i eat alot of protein and fruits, i dont usually ever gain water weight or fluctuate in weight over a period of time......

im not bigger or anything, but im not smaller...im the same measurements but just heavier....what is it??? ahhhhhhhh.

ok...my rant is over...

I'm your height, and when I was in high school, I was 110 lbs, and people called me skeletor because of how skinny I was. I couldn't gain weight either, and I was all muscle. I'm now 155, and I'd never think to be back to 110 again. That's a really unhealthy weight, and can cause a lot of problems down the road. If you build muscle instead of fat, it'll look good. I'm sure people are calling you fat as a joke, they did it to me all the time. Good luck.

I like this thread, so I'll join in and see what happens. Its a little late, but I'm not expecting much...I'll just make an effort and maybe I'll be on the better half of a ten pound loss by May 1st!

I'm 5' 3", 26 years old- a professional seamstress and corsetiere and Farmer's little helper part-time (a good work-out compared to sitting at a sewing machine all day!)

CALORIE LIMIT: currently I am at about 1,300-1,800 a day (1,800 on the days i work at the farm)

BREAKFAST: Depends; several pieces of fruit, a couple fried eggs and a piece of sprouted wheat toast or  (1/3 cup dry) high fiber hot cereal w/ vanilla, agave nectar and raisins (or sliced banana). Always with hot tea with agave and whole milk (just a little) or if my calories can afford it a whole french press full of coffee (split to two large mugs) with a little whole milk and agave

LUNCH: Ditto: Either an avocado and green veggie sandwich (no cheese) on sprouted wheat bread with a little vegenaise and carrot and celery sticks on the side, a grilled cheese on sprouted bread and low-cal bowl of soup or 2 cups of fruit with 1/3 cup homemade full-fat yogurt...but always followed with a homemade kombucha

DINNER: Again; sometimes homemade veggie sushi with brown rice, 3-5 oz of fish, broiled with lemon and 1-2 low fat veggie side dishes, a bowl of soup with cheese toast or ancho chili sweet potato "fries" (baked strips) with lemon-garlic vegenaise aoili (kind of like having a baked potato for dinner, only waaay more interesting)

SNACK: Carrot Sticks!!!!! (I want to tan this year and beta carotene helps), Celery sticks...Kombucha...Fruits, HOT TEA!!! Love it!

EXERCISE: Run 8 miles a week, Walk 8 miles a week, Weight-lifting three days a week (legs, arms, abs), Asana Yoga once a week and I count my work at the farm unless we're just potting or something, cause on days when we are working in the feild I am significantly hungrier!

WATER: 1.5-3 liters a day

MEET YOUR GOAL?: Well, lets see...I am 145.2 right now I think I started out (three weeks ago) at about 148-152ish and my goal is to be 120 by August first. I think I'm doing pretty good...now anyways. I know 135 (I've been 130-200+ over the last ten years and i was 135 this time last year) Is going to feel pretty good. My plan is to be there ( a 10 lb los) by May 27th-ish

GOOD ADVICE FOR ANYONE: Use common sense, don't fall into obsessive eating habits and thoughts (coming from one who's been there), and sometimes you have to take a step back and be objective

kishmish- don't let the scale get you down.

As for me I am at 166 this morning. I feel a bit disappointed, since yesterday was not a good day for me, and I think I could have done better if I had avoided all the carbs I ate yesterday. However, 1 pound is still a loss.

My weight today was 145.5 so want to be 135ish by May then!!!

Maybe we could have a weigh in day to keep each other motivated and make sure we stay as a group rather than drifting apart.

Good luck to everyone!

my weight was 129.9 this morning, it does NOT want to budge!  I really felt like giving up this morning, just felt like pigging out on whatever.  But then it's TTOTM so I'm just going to ride it through, I always have worse cravings...

on the upside, I got to work and State Farm has a program they are sponsering this thing called the 50 million pound challenge.  I noticed a brochure for it today that said "Give up the Lbs. not the Fight".  THat REALLY inspired me.  If you look at this as a battle, no WAY am I going down that easy.  I will hang in there and be victorious in the end!

I think I'm feeling all better now, but was just wondering, how do you ladies combat the TTOTM food cravings?

I allow myself to satisfy the cravings ...only in small amount

drink lots of water, it helps!

u gotta control urself...i have a problem with controlling my craving too TT

anyway,

I'm not doing so good this week

gain 1.5 lbs TT

eating late at night - 2 times

missed exercise - 2 times

not include binging on carbs and sweets TT

CW: 113.5

GW: 111- need to tone up a lot!

and put myself back to the healthy eating way TT

How's everyone doing?

I ran 6 miles today!!! I feel great! YES!

Weigh-in on Monday...

allibug! 1200 isn't enough for a 12/13 yr old. Seeing all these teenagers who don't eat enough in this thread makes me really sad.

trust me i dont need it, today i just was not hungry.

i ate more than i put on there unfortunately

Alli, it's more likely that you need upwards of 2000 calories or more.

So weigh-in is tomorrow, I haven't really been following the thread that well this week. So despite the discussions going around that people aren't eating enough, are we still doing this?

This has been a pretty bad eating week, but an EXCELLENT exercise week. I mean, probably the best in my life. I did 7 miles today so I'm going to make sure not to work out tomorrow. Unfortunately that means I have to be a lot more careful about caloric intake. So yes, I'm in pretty good shape but I've really decided that I need to be a bit lighter to improve my running performance. Not to mention my self esteem...

Have no idea what to expect from the scale tomorrow because I know I've gained a good amount of muscle. Trying very hard not to fret about that, but that number can be quite disheartening sometimes despite all our efforts!

I hope everyone is doing well!!

Lost 5.5 lbs. this week!  Some of it water, but I'm fine with that!

blue colors - congrats on the great exercise week!  i wish i could run that much!  good luck on your weigh in!

pavlovcat - dayummm u lost a ton! thats so great...im soo envious (in a good way)

how did everyone do with the easter weekend?  i was good friday and saturday but ate maintenance (1600 cals) on sunday as a kind of F-U to my body for not budging for 2 weeks...lol.

my weigh in is wednesday and im not looking forward to it as my measurements are the sameeee. the dreaded P word i think...(plateau) i have exactly one month + 2 days before my wedding.....so i have to be extra good until then!

pavlocat- CONGRATS!!! That is so awesome!!

kismish- if you have reached a plateau, I learned fo a food that will breat the plateau.  If you combine tuna and tomato for several days, this will jump start your weight loss again.  It was a trick I learned from the dietician on my last diet.  It does work, but it will take 3-4 days of eating it to get it started.  Something about it being a chemical combination that will boost metabolism.  I really don't undersand how it works, I just know that it does.
