Ok folks, I'm gonna keep this challenge going for spacedreamer during May. Let's make this a great month!!
Here are the guidelines:
- 2 points for every 8oz of water
- Tap or Bottled water only
- 3 points for every 15 minutes of workout time
- Structured workouts only
- No points for anything other than 15 minute intervals
- 1 point for every challenge completed
- 1 point for every challenge suggested
- 1 point for every fruit/veggie you eat each day
- The goal is to have at least 5 servings/day :)
- 1 point for each point lost over the course of the month
- Send your weight in when you begin the challenge and then again on the last day of the challenge (May 31 or June 1)
- This is a cumulative assessment, so dont worry about weight fluctuations during the month - you only need to weigh in on the first and last day of the challenge.
Person with the most points wins!
Note: You may suggest a physical or personal challenge at any time. Challenges can be completed at any time during the month as many times per month as you like. Don't forget to add the time you spend doing the physical challenges to your overall exercise time. Challenges can be completed once each day. 1 point for each challenge completed (not for each repetition of physical challenges)
PM all information to me. You do not need to post it on the thread. The thread is for challenges, encouragement, and general chit-chat.
Important: Send your information in the following format:

Please send your information daily or every other day. If you go out of town please send info when you return broken down by dates.
I'm going to do my best to update points every day, but I usually take the weekends off and update the points Sunday night or Monday mornings.

But i think i really need to keep going to at least keep myself drinking water! Even if i'm not losing weight at the moment.

I'm in for May
And, I'd like to suggest some challenges.
1. Set a realistic total points goal for yourself for the entire month of May, and you get 1 point if you hit the goal!!!
2. Set a # of pounds lost goal for the month, and get one point if you reach it!
3. Walk outside.
My start weight is 182. My goal weight for May 31 is 177, and my points goal for the month is 750!
How surprised was I this morning, when scrolling to find the April thread, to see the May one!!!!

My goal for points this month is: 1450
My weight loss goal for May is: 6 lbs My starting weight is 165, so that will take me under 160!!!! I'm excited!!!

I'm in for this month, too. I will be done with classes (TOMORROW IS MY LAST DAY OF CLASSES FOREVER!!), so hopefully I will be able to keep up with sending my points in.
My points goal will be 2000 points.
Current weight is 261.8--goal is 253.0 by the end of May.
I'll have some challenge suggestions tomorrow after I'm done with my classes.

I would like to suggest the First Alarm challenge again because I only achieved it once last month.
I also suggest a Crunches challenge again. 25 reps gets you a point. I really need to get consistent about my ab work.

I am in too. I did so bad eating wise the last 2 weeks of April I did not even send in my numbers for the last few days of April:-( so I really NEED to get back on tract. I gain a some pounds too in April so my start weight is 131.4 :o(. My goal for this month is to get back to 127 or so.

Personal - 1. Make a menu for the week & Stick to it. 2. Make a grocery list and stick to it. 3. Play with your pets (if you dont have pets play with friends/family pets).
Physical - 1. Lunges with weights 2. 30 minutes of cardio (moderate or higher)
I'm getting my bachelor's degree in Linguistics and French. I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, so July 7th, I'm headed to Niger (west Africa) with the Peace Corps for 27 months. <<that's my main motivation, now. I had to do some extra medical tests and forms because my BMI was/is so high, so I really would like to get it under 35 before I leave (it is currently 38.1, but down from >42). I have joined a gym so I plan on really racking up some exercise points this month... watch out ![]()

My motivation for losing weight is to be healthy, to wear cute clothes again and just to feel good about myself. My husband also wants to have another baby and I told him we can't do that until I lose all the weight I want to lose. :)

I am so excited about this challenge this month. There are some awesome suggestions for personal and Physical challenges! I still need to set goals for my points and weightloss for this month.
Newmama you are so sweet! I am very motivated to get this extra weight off of me. I suffer from infertility and I am going to see a Reproductive Dr. this summer (trying to save $ for it currently as it is so expensive and our insurance, even though it is great, does not cover treatments) so I said to myself that I was going to get to a healthy weight and get as physically fit as possible between now and then. I have lost a little over 11 lbs and have another 18-20. This challenge is really helping to keep me going strong.
This is going to be a great month!
fatttyj--it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to be when I was younger, so no worries. I'm sure the Peace Corps will be an awesome experience for you.
sydney--I'm gonna add the physical challenge you set for yourself to the list. I think that's a good one. I set little goals like that for myself too, so great job!

I'm gonna suggest the yard work/house work challenge from last month because we all know how hard it can be to get motivated for those things.
