Hi
I was wondering if it wouldent be too bad if I treated myself to my favorite desert today- a DQ blizzard
Now I know that these are off limits and that their packed with calories, fat and all that bad stuff. But I havent had one in FOREVER and I have over 600 cals that I havent "used up yet today"
So would it be so bad to indulge as long as I'm still within my calorie limits for the day?

if you can find a blizzard with under 600 cals... i say do it up... just this once though
I'd say get one and eat maybe 300 cals worth, and save the rest....so some other day you can have 300 cals worth without the drive :)
Can you find someone to share it with?
I have been wanting to try the Dunkin Donuts new Tropicana drink with a shot of french vanilla. What is stopping me? I have to drive across the border to Detroit and find a Dunkin Donuts. Only have Timmy's here.

I've been craving a blizzard for the longest time too but I haven't indulged because it would mean skipping a meal just to have one! I would go with the above suggestions and share it or save half for another day!
DQ posts that their soft serve is 95% fat free... go for the small! Maybe get one with nuts rather than candy, like the Georgia pecan one! It's my fav....
I say endulge!
I find that the occassional treat keeps me going strong on my diet. It prevents frustration.
I also make deals with myself like, "You can have this thing, but only if you work out 4 times this week".

I have no idea why I misspelled indulge and occasional. I'm fired.
I don't think misspellings count if you catch them yourself ;)
oh, goodness, go for it! I've already thought about doing this myself, and even have gone so far as to look up the counts for various blizzards. =) I've decided my favourite (the chocolate chip cookie dough) is too high for even a small, but I could probably handle a small cappuccino skor (which is like the heath bar one, I assume) one day if I keep my cals low for the rest of the day. =)
Its ok to indulge yourself in some random misspellings.
lern too speel!!!!
Yeah, go for it! If you want it, eat it. Just don't do it everyday and don't feel guilty. All things in moderation...including moderation!

What about speeling in modaretion? ;D
Those blizzards are whacky rich. You're going to eat about a quarter of it and your new way of eating is going to kick in and you'll want to throw the rest of it out because it's so ucky rich and it'll upset your tummy if you eat anymore. So I say go for it...trust me, you won't eat the whole thing.
You can make your own low fat sugar free blizzard by buying frozen yogurt and using something like stovers sugar free candy. That way you can measure and calculate exactly what's in it. All you got to do is crush up the candy and mash it with a spoon into the ice cream/frozen yogurt. I agree with Charlie... last time I had a hot fudge sundae I through 2/3 away.
If you must have one have a small one and share it or only eat half that way you are around 250 to 300 cal and that is not bad at all.
why do you need permission? Look it up, figure out the calories and see if it fits into your plan for the day. Or decide to go over your allowance and get back on track tomorrow.
Why is that so hard for you to decide? It's very simple.

Well I had my blizzard and I'm very glad I did. It was the most
delicious, wonderful thing I have eaten in a very long time.
AND I've managed to stay within my calorie limits for the day.
I think its a good idea to indulge a little evrey now and then. I was so satisfied with my treat that I don't see my self bingeing or cheating again anytime soon.
Thanks for all your help and advice evreyone! I appreciate it!!
