Maybe a little OT... but I was at the gym working out...
I was at the gym this afternoon, and sometime while there I cut my leg... nothing bad but it was bleeding a bit. My question is, do you think I should get a tetnus (sp?) shot? I think I did it on the weight machines, but I didnt notice it til I was done and back in the locker room. My mom was like, just put some rubbing alcohol on it, and antibiotic ointment. Is that enough?

Depends on when you last had a tetanus shot -- I think they say to get one every 5 or 7 yrs?? If its been longer its time to get an update anyway.
As long as it wasn't on something rusty or lying in the road, you should be fine. Antiseptic is all you need.
I dont know about when my last tetanus shot was... and I dont know if the cut was from something rusty... I was at my school's gym where the weight machines are not the best and a bit rusty
honestly better safe then lockjaw... just get it over with, never hurts to have it... honestly its the last thing you'd ever want to get...
Not to worry you, but I'd be more concerned with the Stph infections going around than getting a tetnus shot. Definitely clean it and keep cleaning 2x day until its healed. Also, keep it bandaged.
