McCain's VP pick - Sarah Palin
I heard on the radio this morning that a private plane from Alaska landed in Ohio today ahead of John McCain's announcement of his VP choice.
Speculation abounds that he may have chosen Sarah Palin, first term governor of Alaska (kind of a female republican equivalent to Tim Kaine of VA AND she's best known for supporting drilling in ANWR.)
Boy wouldn't that mix things up!
Some people are still saying they think it will be Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty.
We don't have to wait long to find out, eh?
well unless Palin has an liberal like immigration plan.... Clinton supporters may not swing that way.... she had a large following in the hispanic community.... my guess it's not gonna happen.... no way McCain would show support for an immigration plan that didnt involve tightening citizenship beyond achievability!!!

well, for instance we never really heard from al gore....well until he won his...~cough~cough~ nobel piece prize!
Well, I'm not going to go there, but I think it can be said that Cheney hasn't exactly been slacking off.

Didn't McCain co-author a immigration bill that allowed illegal immigrants to stay in the country and provided an easy path to citizenship? Sometime last year? Before he started changing his positions to toe the party line?
You weren't paying attention when Gore worked with both parties to cut government waste.
Vice President Gore, however, went far beyond preparing a report and led an effort that evolved into the longest-running and most successful reform effort in U.S. history to date.
It wasn't a very exciting thing to work on. Not like having secret energy meetings and hiding out in undisclosed locations and stuff.

Yes he did, but since then he's said he would vote against his bill.
Yes he did flogging. He got slammed by his own party. I think this was about 2 years ago.
"I think we can set up a program where amnesty is extended to a certain number of people who are eligible. Amnesty has to be an important part because there are people who have lived in this country for 20, 30 or 40 years, who have raised children here, paid taxes here and are not citizens. That has to be a component of it."

Kinda like the global warming bill he also co-authored and then recently decided he was against?
and it's 'alligator'. just sayin. ;)
Wow - it didn't take long to get a "McCain-Palin" banner at the bottom of my browser.
I might be imagining things, but I swear in that picture she looks like the receptionist at my son's elementary school.

The unprofessional graphic alone should tell us how unprepared and out of touch this candidate is. I could do better in 5 minutes with PhotoShop.
I am having trouble with the fact that she doesn't know what a VP does. Let's just hope Dick Cheney doesn't mentor her.
If the Reps lose, they won't allow a woman on the ticket for at least twenty years. *bites nails*
seriously people, get real.
perhaps during the VP debate, we can have Biden and Palin show their Photoshop and HTML skillz to see who wins! Palin may be fluent in C++, but i hear that Biden pownz in AS400! ;-)

id be curious to see this clip of her saying she doesnt know what a VP does, was it a tongue in cheek comment?
Don't know, as it was reported in an article (which Nomo did provide a link to). It's possible, but unless someone finds a tape of it somewhere, I don't know how we could know.
But, as I stated earlier, I'm more interested with her statement implying that the VP slot should first concentrate on the concerns of Alaskans. Isn't the VP supposed to serve all the states?

I hate how liberals claim to be open-minded and then bash conservatives for having different view points.
Is "psychobeast" the PC term for us these days?
I'm so far behind.
I hate how liberals are always characterized as bashers of differing view points. While I agree that calling names isn't helpful what you did is no better. You lumped all liberals together just like the other poster lumped conservatives together.
You're right. I don't hate liberals for bashing conservatives. I hate you all for murdering babies.
