McDonalds Coffee Drinks....
I'm confused...I know coffee on ice is lo cal...but can I get the coffee on ice with skim milk there? Or do they only have it with cream and sugar??
yes you can get it with skim milk. If you have one of the flavored iced lattes, they will have some sugar in the syrup, but you can still get the nonfat milk. I treat myself every once in awhile to a iced hazelnut nonfat latte.
If you like french vanilla flavor in your coffee they do have a sugar free version of that syrup, so you could get it with skim milk and SF vanilla syrup in it. McDonalds has the cals posted on it's site for all the coffee drinks now.
I didn't see the ice coffee on the list, but ask if there is HFCS in their base for the drink. I know that there is HFCS in the Timmy's iced coffee base and it is very similar to Mc Donalds.
when i worked in a coffee shop- our iced coffees were just normal ones, made with icecubes and cold water/milk. so i should think they are about the same as if you bought a hot equivelent. best thing may be to ask the store manager, they should be able to provide you with the nutritional values.
good luck ![]()
Interesting you ask this...over the weekend I stopped at McDonalds hoping to get a coffee with skim milk...they don't do that. The only offer the skim milk option if you are getting one of their lattes. In their iced or hot coffee they only offer cream. It pissed me off.
they have both in store- shouldn't they easily just be able to pour it in!!!
the only reason they could have behind it is that the hot coffee tastes rubbish with milk, so they make it richer with cream. the latte is ok with skimmed milk as they use so much.
but still, not acceptable for a company trying to be seen to offer healthy options. perhaps a letter to mcdonalds headquarters is in order??!!
