Nothing :P

I think the asian chicken salad is okay?

You can go to their website and build a meal, which shows you exactly how many calories, grams of fat and everything is in each individual piece of the meal. I mean, the cheese, tomatoes, pickles even.

It sort of divides up the salads as well.

They have a fruit salad with low fat yogurt dip that is pretty good.
They have some half-decent salads. Order the grilled chicken asian salad.

If you have to eat a burger, go for a hamburger, heavy on the veggies.

I suggest you stay away from the fries and rings altogether and have a side salad.
Get a happy meal! Good way to portion control. I think now they have fruit instead of fries, too. Just a little hamburger!
I like the grilled Ceaser but you can order a side salad with grilled chicken for $2. Also apple dippers and the ice cream cone are pretty low cal.
I just had Mickey D's for lunch.  I had the grilled chicken caesar salad (210 cals) with low fat basalmic vinagerette (40cals).  Very good.  I like the classic grilled chicken w/o mayonaise, w/ mustard. that is listed at 410 cal but with the condiment change I'm sure it's less than that.  If I just have to have a hamburger and fries I have the "All American Meal".  It's the same as a happy meal just a reguar small drink instead of kiddie size drink. with a diet drink it is 510cals. if you get a diet drink.  Plus you eat for about $2.50 CHEAP!! I print out there menu w/ nutrition info and keep it in the glove box to help me when I order.
I usually get the grilled chicken ceasar salad with a small order of fries.  That way I don't deprive myself and I don't feel guilty.
Check out hungry-girl.com, she has toons of tips for fast food, 'specially Micky D's.
If you go to McDonald's, try to find the EXIT as soon as possible and go to Subway and get a Oven Roasted Chicken Breast sub on wheat.
I would have suggested eating the napkins - but they absorb fat from the air!
I either get one of the salads and use minimal dressing (doing the trick where you dip your fork in it) or I get a grilled chicken sandwich with no mayo and take off one of the buns.  I may eat a few fries but only maybe 100 calories worth and then give the rest to my kids.
I think I am going to bring my own chicken breast... the sodium is killing me!
As a mom of a 2 year old (he LOVES McDonalds). I am really disapointed in their selection of healthy choices. I understand it is fast food and a burger place but, so many places seem to be adding more and more heathy options on their menus I think Mcdonalds should have more to offer than salads.
just. dont. go. lol
Especially if youre in the united states. I think health regulations are a bit less strict down there... a McD's yogourt parfait here is about 180 cal, but in the states is about 370 ... for the exact same thing!
Either way, almost every other fast food restaurant has a great choice of healthy stuff, but mcD's just isnt keeping up.
There is, in fact, something tasty and not terrible at McDonalds.  I discovered that if you order the grilled chicken burger *without* mayonnaise, it is only 330 calories.  If you get a side salad with low calorie dressing (which they do offer), you are under 400 calories for the meal!

You just have to be sure to ask for no mayonnaise.

I've had this, and it tastes great.
if you must go... the Asian salad w/grilled chicken and low fat ginger dressing (380 cal)... or the grilled chicken sandwich, skip the mayo and ask for bbq sauce instead, and I eat it as an open faced sandwich (less of that nasty white bread w/no nutritional value and less cals)
Oh lordy. If you are going to mcdonalds and are actually going to walk through the doors and order something there, get something you WANT! If you get a salad, you'll just be annoyed while others chow down on the cheeseburgers.  Get a small size of everything, or get a burger only and don't get fries and then have a small dinner.  Get what you want, just get less of it.  No point denying yourself what you really want.  Also, get a copy of the nutritional info to help you make your decision. It's online and they have them at every McDs.

i agree - if you really want the burger and fried, order yourself a happy meal.

otherwise aim for something with lots of fruits & veggies.

just be sure to drink lots of water because the food is full of salt.

then go watch the documentary Supersize Me and you'll never eat at McDonald's again.
I always get the fried chicken bacon and ranch salad....it is less than 400 calories.....with basalmic dressing.  Actually last week I had the extra cals so I ordered a double cheesburger my favorite and it made me sick...to much grease go figure....good luck
Ohjanet - it's funny, we watched Supersize me in class, and I was CRAVING greasy food afterwards. All I really wanted were some fries, a shake, and some chicken nuggets :)
Here at Portugal they have much healthier choices. You can have a spinach soup for only 130Kcal. And you feel full after you eat it, too!
