What are your measurments.
I'm pretty sure I measured myself properly, for my waist, I measured the smallest part, so yea, I don't know if that's right or not.
Mine, which I may not adore, but WILL learn to love, are:
33-25-35
I'm not a stick figure and I've got a pretty flat chest (my back actually curves outward up there, so my measurement is higher than it appears), but I'm HEALTHY AND HAPPY!
My doctor is thrilled with me and I am strong enough to bike on highways without being rammed by a car or having to get off and walk up the massive hills.
Those are only my sizing/tape-measure measurements....how about we take other body measurements into consideration? Heart rate, blood pressure, bone density, lung strength, blood levels....they are all a LOT more important than how many inches your waist is! Sure, it's not healthy to have certain waist to hip ratios or a waist over 30 inches around, but I'd say screw the measurements if you have healthy levels INSIDE of your body.
I've been OVERweight and I've also been UNDERweight...when I was overweight, I had high cholesteroland borderline high blood pressure. When I was underweight (heck, even when I was a "healthy" weight in the lower range of the BMI scale) my heart rate was low, my lungs were weak, my organs were failing, and my blood levels were horrific. Girls in my age group thought that I was gorgeous, though, because I was thin and I wore a baggy size zero. Yeah, that was great and all, until I collapsed on the floor and nearly died.
I think that many of us need to rethink our priorties.:)
I'm going to get off of my soapbox now. I apologize if I happened to offend anybody, but seriously, concern yourself with your health BEFORE you concern yourself with measurements.

My friend has a word for measurements like that. She calls it "WHA-BAM!"
Well, I'm not sure if I measured right, and I'm bloated, but:

Mine are this number, that number, and another number. More importantly, they're the measurements of happiness and total self satisfaction.
I like the way you think. Physical body measurements shouldn't matter!!!!

You make a lot of good points. Most days I don't agree with what society says is beautiful.
Chest...hmm I never really measured and I'm not sure...but I'm a 36 B...
waist-23 hips-35
Bust: 34 D
Waist: 26.5
Hips: 32
Hmm.... would it to be blasphemy to say I'm a little envious of you pears and hourglasses? I'd love to lose a cup size in the boob area and a bit on the waist, but I wouldn't mind some wider hips... xD
I'm such a pear >_<
waist: 28(I measured it at the belly-button area, did I get it right?)
hips: 37(gaaaah. my stupid butt!)
bust: err..I'd rather not say.
the biggest part of my body is..my butt. and it makes my upper body look bigger when I turn to the sideways, especially when I'm wearing a long, loose shirt. ugh.
I'm don't look proportional - my face is long and a bit narrow - not model-thin, but I don't have a double chin either; my arms aren't skinny but aren't large either; my waist is medium-sized(or at least in my country it is.); my hips are huge; my butt is huge(grrrr); my thighs aren't so pretty either; and to top it all off, I'm only 5'0 - and I'm not growing anymore(seriously. I stopped at 10 years old)!
But I'm in the healthy range, and that's what matters to me.
Last time I checked I think it was
29.5inches Bust
24inches Waist
32.5inches Hips
5ft5almost
This post has reassured me for some reason
Just checked!
Bust: 30
Waist:21 (I love it XD)
Hips: 28....this means not a lot of junk in the ole trunk
but oh well!
Either I'm measuring myself wrong, or everyone else is being extreme with their measurements.
I'm 5'2" and weigh 117lbs.
Bust - 35
Waist - 26
Hip - 34 where I wear my jeans, and 37 around the widest part of my butt.
I wear a 3-4 in jeans, and I'm a 32C
A lot of other girls on this forum have measurements in the 20s...
Now, why are you complaining?
I'm happy with my body and am much 'bigger'
According to the def of body shapes, hour glass is any measurements with the bust and hip being within 2 inches, and more than 10% larger than the waist.
Pear is with the bum being 10% larger than the bust, apple is the bust being 10% larger than the bum.
Bust: 33
Waist: 24
Hips: 33
I'm 5'6.
I'm 5'7'' and 17 (soon to be 18)
bust: 33 in (I wear a size 32B)
Waist: about 22.5-23 in
Hips: 33 in
I'm 18 and only 5'2" so these measurments aren't actually as small as they seem. Mine:
Bust: 30 (and a 32B)
Waist: 23.5 (i've been at 22 before and really want to get back to that)
Big Butt: 33.5 (it sticks out funny lol)
34-23-35 ![]()
I'm 5'9"
Almost 16 years old.
Bust: 33.5 (32/34 B)
Waist: 27
Hips: 35
im 15.
bust 34 D
waist 23.5
hips 34.
i lost my bust when i lost weight. Now im trying to gain weight. im like 108 trying to get up to 115
all you people make me sick ;)
the thing is when i was around your age (14-18) my measurements were scary. i was like 5'5" and like 90 lbs. and scarily thin.
now i'm 23 (turning 24 at the end of march) and my stats are a bit different. your body changes so much after high school. take care of yourself if you want to keep those frames...trust me.
as for me
5'5" 106 lbs
30 bust-23.5 waist-33 hip
thighs: 17"
Age: 16
Weight: 156
Height: 5'5.5"
Bust: 38C
Waist(at natural bend): 33
Hips: 42
Thighs: 26 or 27
This isn't even fair. Anyone wanna trade bodies? :P
...didn't think so.
Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?
You can lose weight despite eating the same food day-after-day as long as you eat fewer calories than you burn. In fact, eating the... Read more
