Meatloaf Recipe

Makes 20 servings


old-fashoned meatloaf that can be cooked in oven or microwave.

Ingredients
1 lb. sausage
1 1/3 lb. hamburger
1 small onion, fine dice
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1/2 c. carrots, shredded
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1 t. garlic powder
1/8 t. nutmeg
1 T. parlsey. dried
2 1/2 slices bread, finely diced
2 eggs
1/4 c milk
1 T. worchestershire sauce
1/4 t. liquid smoke
1/2 t garlic salt
1 tea sea salt
1 tea "meat majic"
1 tea h.b seaoning (or seasoned salt)
Directions
  1. thoroughly mix h.b. and sausage.

  2. to this, add onions, celery, carrots, and green [or yellow or red] peppers. mix well.

  3. add seasonings & bread. combine with above ingredients.

  4. lastly, add eggs, milk, worchesteshire sauce, and liquid smoke, salts, meat majic and combine all.

  5. place in lg casserole [2-2 1/2 qt]. microwave at 90% for about 20 min. internal temp should be at least 160 degrees. if necessary, m.w. a little longer to reach the 160. let set on counter top for 15 min to finish cooking.

  6. this may be made in regular oven. bake at 350 for 1 hr and 15 min.

  7. i use a baster to remove grease and juices from bottom of dish imediately after removal from oven.
