medifast-anyone tried it?

Quote  |  Reply
I've recently begun changing my eating habits and going to the gym daily.  Don't notice any difference yet but am recently aware that i probably wasn't eating enough. A man I know lost 25 lbs. on Medifast and keeps praising it's benefits to me. He's got like 15 people signed up. I think it's just a quick fix, losing weight too quickly. He just makes it sound so easy. Just wondering if anyone's tried it and if they kept the weight off or had any problems with it. I think I'm going about it the right way with exercise and healthy controlled eating, even if it takes longer.  New here, thanks!

Yes! I've tried it and I say - don't do it! I ended up loosing weight and then gaining it back double! Scary!

Men can do the very low calorie and bounce back but women have that starvation factor that kicks in early. Plus, after I stopped it after a month, my blood pressure was all wacky from the tea and the pills. Bad news...

AND its almost impossible to keep the weight off without maintaining a huge decrease in calories...

I would recommend pointing these people who have signed up to the medifast to this site.

It is better to work within the framework of calories and balanced nutrician than to go for the quick fix, IMHO.
i have not tried it but we have a radio person in Hawaii on star 101.9 and she was big before and is using that and has lost a LOT of weight. you can go to the website to see her before and after pics its at star1019.com her name is hudson.

Thanks a lot for the feedback.  I was at their house again last night and it was mentioned again, why don't I just do Medifast. I said NO.  The whole idea does sound kind of scary to me, but have to admit was tempting.

Yeah, but presumably you work for them as you've dug up two ancient threads on the topic to post advertising links.

Edit: This was in response to a shiller - not to the previous poster.

I praise healthy food choices and staying active and I've lost 220+ pounds.  It's worked for me, and with the exception of multiple vitamins, I don't have to shop in the supplement or diet section of the grocery store!!!  Cool

Think about it this way: diet pills will make you lose weight temporarily, eating healthy will let you lose weight and keep it off for a lifetime!

Sorry, I do not work for the company. I see this is a very positive place to come for inspiration.
