I started out in March of '04 weighing 178 (I'm 5'7.5")  I used Weight Watchers to get to my goal weight of 148, and stayed there for over 3 years.  Then a series of circumstances (both difficult and wonderful) caused me to lose 10 more pounds.

So now my weight has stabilized at 138, which feels just perfect for me (I have a medium frame).  I do strength training and have a good amount of muscle mass, so I'm a size 4 at this weight.  I feel very slim and strong (but not skinny).  I'm 56, and still follow the WW structure.

You will not die if you are 5'7'' and under 130 pounds.  I am almost 5'8'' and am 115, and I am just fine.  Weight is relative because some of us have more or less muscle than others, and some of us are smaller boned than others.  I have a very small bone structure, and I am a runner, so I weigh a little less than most girls my height, but I could lose 10 pounds and still look normal.  Everyone is different, and weight is just a number.  At our height, I would not go past 100 pounds.

5'7" and currently 130.  I would like to lose 5 more pounds but 130 seems easier to maintain and more realistic.  I am a medium frame or the big end of a small frame.

i'm 5'7 an im currently a little over 200 and am aiming for 135 in about a year. any suggestions?

I'm in the same boat at 5'6" and just under 200 lbs.  I'm working toward a goal of 140 within a year.  I'll be watching for the same suggestions as "Emargooble".

I am surprised at how satisfied I feel appetite wise on 1200 calories a day when I focus on a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables.  The first few days, I just focused on the calories (a few things, and then hungry).  Then, I switched to eating a lot of low calorie, high fiber fruits and vegetables, and I'm eating non-stop all day.  Thankfully, I'm not feeling hungry now.  Just don't bring a chocolate donut around my house - I cannot be responsible for my reaction.

I'm 5'7.5", 143 lbs and I aim to middle or low 130ish. My upper body seems to be of a small frame but I have a really large n heavy lower body (pear shape pelvis).

I'm 5'7, weighed 185, currently 157.5, and want to get down to 145.

I'm almost 5'8" with a medium frame.  I'm getting close to my goal weight of 130.  However, at 130, I plan to maintain for a while and then start toning up more, going more by my measurements than the scale (if I gain muscle weight, great).  I'll have access to a gym later in the year.

5'7 - 5'8 and I would LOVE to be at 150.

I did really well last year and sat around the 157 mark for quite a while.  Stopped counting and shot back up to 177.  GGRR!

I'm 5'8" - medium build. I'm currently at 160 and my goal weight is 140. I have been smaller in my lifetime, but don't think that any smaller than 140 is realistic for me anymore. (Especially not after having a baby - the ol' body is just not the same anymore.) I'd like to be in a nice healthy size 6 or 8. :-) But who knows... I've been exercising regularly and weight training, so maybe my old body will reappear eventually!

I do not think you can judge your frame size with the whole fingers around your wrist deal.  If I do that my fingers overlap by at least an inch (and I have small hands and shorter fingers), so that would make me small framed right?? Nope. I have broad shoulders and a really large rib cage, but very small hips. I think you need to use common sense and decide at what weight YOU feel comfortable.

I am 5'8 and I currently weigh 179 pounds and am a size 10, (down from 207). The smallest I have been in my adult life was 156 pounds and I was a size six.  There is no possible way that I could weigh less than 145 pounds and look healthy. As it was, when I was 158 pounds almost EVERYONE said I needed to stop losing weight. That being said, it seems that the weight range given by CC of 130-150 is where most people are falling.

Good luck to everyone and I hope everyone reaches the weight where they are happy!Wink

I'm about 5'73/4".  I am 57 and would say I have a medium frame.  Currently, I weigh 166 lbs.  I would  like to set an interim goal of 150 lbs and would really happy to get down to 145 lbs.  This site recommended 141 lbs for me.  That would be great too.

When I married at age 24, I weighed 117 lbs.  My highest weight was in my late 40s and I weighed about 198 lbs--just under 200 lbs.

I'm 5'7 and 124 pounds. I want to be at 115. And no, for some reason at that weight, I'm not a stick. I am medium framed by official calculations and just in appearance too (I have broad shoulders, wide hips, thick ankles). I have love handles and some stuff on my tummy and thighs that I would like to lose, so it seems that at 115, I wouldn't have those love handles and thick thighs (even though it's officially "underweight").
