I am new. Hoping this is the answer to my weight/food issues. I started on the 1st and have lost 2lbs so far. Currently 173.5 and would like to be 125. I am single with 2 great kids.
Anyone else out there like me?

I am 5'1"-5'2" and have had some good success using Calorie Counting so far and am pretyt much at my goal. I would be glad to help in any way I can and might have some ideas for groups etc for you to join.
Have you guys checked out the Slimming Minis group? I loved that one when I was losing weight, as it teaches you to drink more water and be more aware of your level of activity - two crucial things when trying to shed some pounds:

I'm also 5'1" and started at 165.5. I have trouble finding the right amount of calories sometimes. I do find I don't lose or gain if I eat too few calories! I used the tools on this site to find my number, then ate a little more/less to "tweak" it. I have also heard you should subtract 250 from the number of calories you currently eat, and burn another 250 with exercise. I hope it helps!
eHey, I'm a newbie as well standing at 5"0 and 157lb. I get so fusterated with the different weight goals i have been given because of my height. None of which really made me think possible of achieving, however this site is actually diffrent. I am enjoying every aspect so far.
I am 5ft nothing. I am trying to get to 125 as well. So far, I have not had much success in seeing the scale move. Hoping this new year will help me make whatever changes I need in order to see the 120's again!
I'm 5'1 too, trying to get down to 130lbs from 150.9. I have one kid, he's one years old :)
I'm 5"1" and started at 151.5 almost 3 years ago. I am now at 125, been maintaining for a little over a year. You can do this! Remember, it took a while to put on the pounds, so it should take a while to lose them too. Make small changes that you can stick with. And attitude makes it all possible. We are small people, we don't eat much! (That's the mantra that worked for me.)
I'm about 5'2 and about 150 pounds. I have 2 wonderful children that mean the world to me. I've really had a hard time w/my weight since I had my 2nd child in Nov 2006. I had a hard time gaining weight & was put on a diet to gain weight. Now a year later I can not lose it. Any help is appreciated. Nice to meet ya. =)
Hey y'all! I just joined today and am really excited about finding this site! I'm about 5'2-5'3 and 167 lbs trying to get to about 125-130. So far I've lost about 30 lbs since August when I was weighing just under 200 lbs. Weird thing is according to weight charts I'm overweight...according to my Body Fat % (taken by my dr) I'm only at 12% which is low. Very strange....just working on losing to get back to a size 5/6 currently in a 10 down from a 14! Yay! Anyway--I'm hoping this site will help with my motivation issues but I want to be in great shape when I graduate in May from college and move to take up my first job with my degree! Hey, I'm 5'2 also at 169 lbs. I had my son in Nov. of 06 ndnow trying to get back into a size 8. I'm at a 12 now and really want to get down to about 130-140. Even 149 would be a great start, just to be under 150 again. Good luck, we are in the same boat!

I'm 5'1" and 160 lbs. I haven't been doing great; I have three children; and it seems the weight just kept adding up after each of them. I try to eat moderatly good; and do some sort of exercise each day. Good luck to everyone!!!
Hi brown eyes, i would like to buddy up and do a weekly weigh in, i'm also a 5'1 but want to weigh 140, i weigh 178, i've lost 3 lbs so far in 2 weeks by eating less and walking, i have 3 beautiful gorgeous girls, i started calorie- com and started walking and doing the biggest looser dvds on Sept 1, i go walking with my cousin every evening and we walk about 3 miles in an hour. my husband really does support to do exercise cause he does it with me, them biggest loser dvd exercise videos really do work, they make you sweat

In May 2009, I was 191lbs, today I'm 149! I hope to get down to 120-125!
