mom22boyz  how are you upping your fiber?? 

so I went up a bit...136.5  ugh!!  I had 2 days of a lot of food...dont know what my problem was...back on track tho!  I want to see 125 soooo bad!

i do need to exercise way sooo much more...

great job to everyone who loss this week!  and everyone else (including myself) try harder and keep the prize in mind~ 

any one with goals this week???  I am good with the water intake, ok with calories (except those 2 really fat days...lol )  but need to get my booty in gear with the exercising.

I think you can make updating simpler by editing the very first post in the thread.  Since you started it, you should be able to edit.  That way, you don't have to search for the latest one, and you update in the same place, without making new posts, and the very first post shows up at the top of each page, so everyone can see the latest one.  Hope that helps. :)

so I have a question...when and how do you weight yourself? morning after bathroom use, naked, fully dressed, same clothes, etc?

I,myself, weigh every morning after using the restroom, whether its check in day or not, wearing a tank top and panties.

just thought it might be fun to see the answers.

oh and p.s. for the month of june 2nluv lost the most...13lbs...and hansock is only .75lbs her goal....YAY FOR YOU LADIES!!!  and everyone else, lets keep it going with good choices and healthy eating.

 

Hey, all.  Just weighed in...this will have to be my Friday weigh in because I won't be able to use my "official" scale on Friday because of the 4th:

Start:  150, Current:  120.25, Goal:  120............ (-0.5 loss)

I'm almost there!  Just doesn't help when TTOM comes and stalls your progress for a week.  (I don't think I turned my weight in last week)

Hi- Could I join in on this thread?

My name is Juls, I'm 15 years old, and my goal weight is 124. I'm starting at 142 pounds. My goal is to make it into the lightweight boat at crew- which means that my short term goal is to be under or near 135 by the end of the summer.

I'd love to be a part of this-I'm 5'3'' and it would be really great for me to have a structured place to log my (hopeful) weight loss.

Also, makinitcount to answer your questions, I weigh myself in the morning, after I use the bathroom and shower.  I weigh myself without any clothes on, but sometimes just for fun to see what the difference is during the day, I weight at night and boy does that make a difference - I'm always at least 2 lbs heavier at night!

Im checking in toay (thursay) and then on sunday Ill post again and update the list as well.

basically back to normal really.  I hope I can control myself this weekend with the drinking and eating out...going on a little get a way. Sometimes I find myself eating just because we arnt home. any one else do that at all?

I'm weighing in early, too, because my weekend schedule is erratic.  But if I'm totally honest, it's to preserve record of my new low, which I know will bump up over the weekend with 4th food.  I'm going to go kayaking, running, and biking this weekend, so hopefully the damage will be minimal.

YAAAY Do I get a prize???? LOL just kidding...my prize is just feeling better about myself and having more energy to crawl around and play with my baby. I'm shooting for another 13-14 pounds this month but I'm not starting off too well, I suffered an injury at the beginning of the week and it also was that time of the month (UGH!!) so I hardly did any working out but I'm not going to get discouraged and I'll pick it back up today and continue working towards my goals.

Current stats are still 182/169/145...no pounds lost this week (0 for July so far, but we'll change that 8~) )


As far as weighing myself, I too weigh myself every day, about 15 mins after using the rest room and naked. I also keep a weekly progress chart individually where I have my own official weigh-ins on Sundays and I also list my measurements and I notate how many pounds and how many inches I have lost and I have recently started taking pictures of myself to physically see the changes right in front of me each week. Its been great. This is the first time I've ever made such progress when attempting to lose weight, before it seemed as if I was always on a diet but never had much success but now I've made "life changes" in the way I eat and just getting off my butt every day.

Keep up the good work you guys...you will achieve your goals!!!!

2nluv, that's a good question.  The upper end of a normal BMI for our height is 140.  That is, for someone our height, with a large frame and curvy build.  And based on your photo gallary, that seems to fit you exactly. 

Another thing to consider is your body fat %.  When you get down to 145, check your body fat.  If it's within the normal range, and you are happy with how you look and feel at 145, then I'd say 145 is just fine for you.

Thanks!!! I figured as much but I was just curious because I had noticed that I had the highest goal weight...I do actually have a naturally small frame (well at least according to the finger-thumb to wrist test) but I have always been heavy every since I reached puberty...based on that information though I think I will shoot for 140 and who knows I may revise that to 135-130 at one point down the line...I only want to feel good in my own skin and whether thats at 140 or 130, only time will tell...Do you know if there is a way to measure body fat without equipment???

Many gyms, health clubs, and doctor's offices use scales that include a body composition feature.  It's accuracy isn't great, because it's calculated based on how long it takes current to run through your body, and you can varying results based on how you stand on it.  They (again, usually a dr office or gym) also have machines where you grip and it sends current through your upper body, arm around through to the other arm.  It's even less accurate than the scale.  But still, they'll give you a rough idea.

You can also buy a Tanita bathroom scale that will do it.  They're pricey (more than twice the typical one), but if you can afford it, it's well worth it.  I track daily my weight in .2 increments, my fat, and my lean muscle mass. It's a great tool for maximizing fat loss and minimizing muscle loss.
