So my memorial day party wasn't that big of a success - I had 1000 calories before (very nutritious) and at the party I had 1 corn on the cob, a reasonable portion of barbecue chicken breast (no skin), 2 and a half cookies, a piece of angel food cake, the icing off of half a piece of chocolate cake, and a serving of pineapple stuffing (home made - very fattening)
My weight is up .4 pounds today but it's not the worst thing in the world - couldn't have actually been more than a maintenance day since I worked (7 hours waitressing), worked out (1/2 hour elliptical and 15 minutes treadmill), and went swimming at the party.
I expect to see a loss soon!
This may be exactly what I need to pull it together and lose my last 30 lbs this summer -- can I join you??

Glad to have you join us cteene, ladychach, indigo360, lafoutloud01, scalebeater, kaydawson69, and mooseleggs!
We sure have a lot of different reasons for being here (I wish mine were Hawaii), and we come in a lot of different shapes and sizes, but we are all here to help each other get healthier. It's going to be a great summer.
Congrats to every one who stuck to their plan for the day!
I am through eating for the day (I hope). I was able to stick to my plan, but I'm already feeling a little hungry.
I checked out the 12 week plan that baylily suggested. It looks very comprehensive. Here is that link again:

I need help staying on track!
scalebeater: Great progress!!! If you don't mind me asking, how long has it taken for you to get down to 167?
I'm excited to get started! Today i got out the grill and made some hot dogs and corn, and still kept under my calories for the day, i was quite proud of myself. It helped a lot that i got the reduced fat hot dogs that were only 40 calories each.
So, i pledge: I hereby commit to this weight loss challenge in front of all you nice people, that I will endeavor to stay on track, eat in a healthy manner, and follow my chosen exercise plan from now until Labor Day, 2009.
I also would like to meet a few specific goals each day.
Every day I would like:
To have a calorie deficit of at least 500
To drink at least 64 oz of water
To eat some kind of fruit of vegetable
To make an effort to get the right amounts of protein and fiber for my body
and to get at least 800 milligrams of calcium a day through natural means
Welcome mrsvanek26 and twt11.
