Bad me! I've been forgetting to log in! Well, I have five pounds to go and I'm leaving this week for a two-week excursion hiking through Southern Utah and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.

Height: 5'4"

Beginning Weight: 169.4

Week 9: 165.4

I'm literally on the last 5 pounds for this challenge! It's been months that I haven't been able to get past 167, and it feels great to know I'm almost where I want to be! I know I'll be hiking at least 5 miles every day, but I have to remind myself that it's not a reason to overeat at night. Have a great few weeks while I'm gone!

Kieslings! way to go on your trip to Utah and the Grand C! Lived on the South Rim 3 years and loved it!

Not gaining in the weight department. Still not freely mobile but did manage a 10 minute stroll with the dogs last night so felt good about that. Also feel really great about NOT gaining any for this time of knee injury. Being responsible for posting on this site is highly motivating in keeping me on track.

We only have 5 weeks to go!

I'm very excited because my trip to Florida is coming up this Friday. I will not be able to post Monday, but I'll weigh in as soon as I get back.

Here are my stats:

SW 158.6 (Memorial day)
LW 143.2
CW 139 <--- Yeah! Only 10 pounds from my Labor Day goal!!!!
GW 129 (Labor Day)
FGW 115

HMMMMM, I am stuck!!!  I bought a bike ....been riding , swimming and doing ok on my calories ..... went dancing, and working alot and still staying the same. But at least I didnt gain!

Ht: 5'3

SW (Memorial Day): 187

Last week wt: 179

CW: 179

I know there is no way I can hit my goal for labor day so I took it out of my post. However I'm still in with it for the long term results . Good Going for all of you that are actually close on the L D goal!

SW: 160

Week 1: 159.2

Week 2: 156.2

Week 3: 155

Week 4: 154.2

Week 5: 152.4

Week 6: 147.6

Week 7: 147.4

Week 8: 150ish

Week 9 : 146.6

Week 10: 146.4

GW: 140 - 145

I'm 1.4 - 6.4 away from my labor day goal.  Honestly i know i can probably get to 140, i've just been slacking off lately.  I guess having gotten at least into a healthy range weight wise has made me feel like i can go more slowly so i've had a lot more days where i've let myself have some extra calories and all.  I want to crack back down on that though.  I'd like to get close enough to my final goal of 130 by early to mid fall that i can get winter clothes that will fit and all, since i can see that being a problem.  I'd also just like to be eating at maintenance by thanksgiving, or at latest my birthday.  So i'm going to up my will power and motivation these last few weeks and see what i can do when i'm trying my hardest.

I'm feeling a bit discouraged. I gained 1.5 lbs this week even though I averaged 145o cals per day, burned a minimum of 700 cals at the gym each of 6 days out of seven, and therefore had a daily deficit of 1700 cals for six days and about 800 for the seventh day. I figured I would have LOST a couple of pounds at least, not gained. I weigh myself at the same time of day (first thing in the am) for each weigh in.

I lost 15 pounds without stepping foot in a gym, then i go for two weeks and gain. Go figure.  I'm not a happy camper.

I am so stuck!!  At least I don't have to retype my weight because it's exactly the same.  Glad to see that so many of you are having so much success with your weight this summer.  Feel free to share your secrets!

H: 5'3.5"
Challenge SW (Memorial Day): 167
LW: 168.6
CW: 168.6
GW: 135

P.S. I am doing plenty of exercise, but eating too much.  I hardly ever have a day when I meet my calorie goal (1400 but I usually eat 1700-1800 which means no deficit), and am hungry all the time.

Weight is the same.

Where is everyone???

Well, I’m so relieved to report a good week after last week’s gain.  I lost the 1.5 lb gain and another 1.5 for a total of 3 lbs lost this week. (One step backwards, two steps forward! --I’ll take it!) I’ve lost 16 pounds in 11 weeks (21 lbs if I include the previous week) and I feel great. I can fit into most of the clothes in my closet that I haven’t been able to wear for years!!! This week, I’m a happy camper. I’m in the 170’s now.

Smile**Thanks to all who've encouraged me in this challenge. It has really helped.**Smile

I've been between my home, parents home, friends places, and so on for the past couple weeks just trying to visit everyone before i start school again and boy has it been crazy.  Not even sure where my weight was last week though i know it was bouncing up and down like crazy for a bit.  I'm hoping now i can keep up losing.  It will be easier once school starts and i have a schedule again, but i want to get more on track now cause it would be great to go back to school weighing 140 or close to it.  So here are my stats

Goal Weight Labor Day:  160  (not going to make this, most likely, but I'm losing weight gradually and able to keep going without at a rate I think I can maintain!)

I totally forgot to update lately.. I'm losing my mind - summer heat on the brain!

My SW for this challenge was 216 and I am now at 209.5 :D

Nowhere near where I wanna be but I've lost a few!

Hey ladies!

School started back and I've been absolutley swamped. Labor day is just around the corner. How are you doing?

On Memorial Day I weighed 158.6 and the last time I weighed I was at 133.6. I need to lose 4.6 more pounds to  make my goal. Even if I lose a little less than 30 pounds, I'm still very happy that I've lost weight and developed better habbits to keep it off.

It's been my practice to weigh and email on Monday, but I've been having trouble getting that done, so here's my Saturday morning entry.  I started at 180 pounds on Memorial Day.  This morning I was down to 167.5!  Hooray!  I may not achieve my goal, but I'm a third of the way to my ultimate goal -- which makes me very happy!

This accountability has made my progress happen -- I need that!  Thank you for being there!  (I may make 165 before this challenge is over, an outcome much to be desired.)

I just got back from a long trip during which I didn't count calories at all.  During the trip I spent a lot of time at small resteraunts with friends, or visiting a good many people so I knew I wouldn't be able to even really estimate the calories in some of what I ate.  In the end I was back up towards 150 when I got home on thursday.  Somehow now i'm 144.8 though.  I'm hoping i'm not just seeing random fluctuations or something.  We'll see for sure at tomorrows weigh in, but I really would like to be below 145, that would be such great motivation for me.

I also am so glad that school is starting back up for me.  This group has been wonderful motivation to keep me on track during the hectic summer, and i'm surprised and pleased i've managed to drop more weight and keep on track for most of it.  I feel like this kept me well on my way when normally the lack of structure in the summer would have led to me undoing a lot of my hard work in the spring and gaining a bunch of weight back.  Once school does start though the structure really does help me, as does the fact that I have a lot of walking to do to class.  Plus i'm taking swimming, so more exercise there!  Anyways, i've rambled quite a bit.  Does anyone else find its easier, or possibly more difficult, when you have more structure or a more strict scheduale in your life?  And thank you all of you for helping support me in this!!!

Great to hear from you, ladies!

I was still at 133.8 this morning. There's only one week to go for this challenge; let's finish strong!

Thanks to all of you who who stuck with it and your successes kept me motivated and on track. My goal was to maintain and in spite of the bad knee and use of walker or cane I haven't gained but have lost over 5 pounds. Being on your challenge is responsible for that.
