Hi all, Hope everyone is hanging in there!

Good luck all!Tongue out

Txtina-

Im glad you like the template. I have tinkered with different ones for a long time and this one seems to really be the most conveniently formatted. I hope you all enjoy it.

Man, tonight i stopped to realize just how much i have been over-eating... Why is it that when faced with this challenge i just can't seem to stick with it. Instead i seem to go out of my way to sabotage my efforts and get in my own way.

Anyone else have this problem?

*Feelin bloated and stuff* Becca Embarassed

I don't feel like I'm sabatoging on purpose but it does seem like the world is against me!

I am going to a Blue jays Game tonight where I will most likely eat hot dogs and nachos - I'm trying to keep low cal for the better part of the day to accomodate and at least come in under maintenance but :S

And then this weekend we're going on camping trip. Hopefully I will be able to eat one marshmallow instead of twelve and that I'll find some activity to take part in!

Good luck ladies!

It's been a challenge for me too. But right now, I'm at the Cooper clinic Guest lodge in Dallas. My husband is haveing a complete, full day check-up. I'm sure he will be more health conscious after that!

Meanwhile, this place is fabulous! Dr. Cooper is the "father of aerobics"  so every thing is geared toward being health conscious and I'm STILL having a great time, lol! I think it is helping me understand that a good time does not have to equate to over-eating. Even the continental breakfast was healthy. But I haven't put a single "yucky" thing in my mouth this whole trip.

I wish y'all could all be here, walking/jogging on the beautiful padded track surrounded by big trees and ponds, exercising in the health club that comes with the room, swimming with my daughter, and enjoying the fresh fruit that seems to be offered everywhere. So refreshing!

Best wishes to all! I'will be checking back in soon.

P.S. I'm here:

Is your Dr. Cooper the same as the PhD Robert K. Cooper ? I'm almost certain they are the same. I have two or three of his and his wife's books, one of which - FLIP THE SWITCH - is absolutely fantastic! It's all about revving up your metabolism and is based on strategies that about everyone could use. It's great you two are there!

Cteene, I'm not sure of Dr. Cooper's first name, but that book sounds very interesting. I'll have to check it out! I'm back home now, feeling refreshed. I execised a lot! I wonder if that will be good or bad for my weigh-in in the morning???? I guess we will see...

I can't wait to hear how everyone is doing in the morning. I will be sure to post our total for the whole group.Smile

Yes, another pound! I know I'm only losing one at a time but between us, I'm cheating - a lot. To me that means that if I can do this, no one else has a good excuse! Not even my broken toe is a good excuse anymore.

I'm very excited, and this week's challenge for me is to (1) clean out my pantry and fridge of the bad stuff and (2) gym at least 3 times this week, 45 minutes each time in addition to my regular pole work out. (I have dance pole at home; great for upper body workouts!)

As you may have noticed, by final goal weight (FGW) is higher than my Labor Day Goal Weight. I'm not crazy, but I know that I feel and look better with just a little bit more cushion. I want to know what it feels like to be in the 150's again, but it's not for me long-term.

Hooray! We made it through week 2! Congrats to you who've lost or maintained!

I’ve kept my mind off food this week by helping a dear old friend who has been going through some difficult times. I’d been out of touch with her lately and I’m embarrassed to admit that I was pretty much ignoring her since she can be a bit overbearing. But, she has generously done so much for my family over the years and so, when I saw her in distress, I got my head out of the clouds, dropped what I was doing, and reached out to her.

We spent time together, went on some great long walks and had wonderful heart-to-heart talks. We reminisced about old times and lamented our recent estrangement. We went to school together; she was there for me at my wedding and for the births of my daughters. Even though I’m sure she’d felt rejected by me, she wasn’t bitter. It was just so nice to be together again like old times, and we made a pact to support each other and to never again lose contact. You see, I owe my life to her and I want her to be happy and healthy. Her name is Susan, but you know her as baylily. She is my past, present, and future Self.

-------------------------------

I’m proud of the work I've done for my future self this week in eating healthy foods and taking long walks. And, I lost weight in the process! Yeah, me!

I know 1.5 lbs is really pretty good, I was just hoping to have a little more off before I go with our kids to camp next week.  haha  I still have this week for a little more!

Everyone have a great week!  And remember to think about what you eat each time and decide if you need it, or if you are just wanting it, and/or is there a smarter way to make it that will keep you in your calorie count.

Great job stanselgirl! You can do it. Try to go easy on the smores at your campout next week, or at least plan some good hikes to work it off. Wink
