Are there any men on here.

I am just looking for men in current situations as me.  This isn't to avoid the women, but I wouldn't have any problems if I had questions if I was a woman.  Men are different, and I was just looking to see if there is a small support system for men around here.

Hi. I'm a guy.
Yeah, me too.
I'm guy-tastic.
Yep, guilty of being a man (pig) also.

Guilty as charged.
Good to know there are a few of us.

I have 95 pounds to lose, plus some maybe.  We will see when the 95 is gone.  6'1" Started at 295 (300 at my heaviest), and still on my first week.  Just counting calories for now, not giving up all of my favorite foods just portioning to keep at or below 2500 calories.

My downfalls are Pizza and Beer.  Fast Food not a problem as I love to cook, and sweets are not a problem (with the ocassional chocolate craving).
Let me look...hmmmm yup I am a male at least the last time I looked...I started out at 310 now down to 230 would like to get to 225, but I don't see that happening...My body just isn't built like that...I am 6'1" as well...I really didn't cheat on this CC thing until I was closer to my goal, now I eat pizza probably once a week, but I fit it into my calories if I am counting it correctly...sometimes it is hard to really know how much you eat...I don't do beer, but I do like my Captain's and diet...
Congrats on the weight loss.  I figure if I could get back to my High School weight of 220 I will be happy, but as long as I get there I would like to reach 200.  The normal weight for our height is 185, but I don't think that is possible since I am built pretty large.
Nope. No men here. Sorry.

Oh wait.

I mean, hi!
I'm a guy!

*looks down*
Yep, definately a guy! ;D
Yes, there are guys on here.  My story is probably pretty typical.  Used to exercise more, work harder, don't do that anymore, but appetite is still the same so the pounds just keep on creeping on.  The best advice I have heard is to get on the treadmill and set it every day at a slightly higher incline and walk, just walk and walk for at least 45 minutes every day.  Naturally this has to go along with eating sensibly, but by getting that regular aerobic activity without stressing the joints too much, you don't have to starve yourself and it is a sustainable lifestyle.  So that's my plan.  Lower the alcohol calories, eat healthy foods all day long and get on that treadmill every day.  I need to lose 38 pounds.
im a guy

Well, as long as we're all copping to being male....

I'm a guy.

Used to lift heavy fairly regularily,  spent some time not doing that for ...various reasons... - looking to regain my old body shape.

man here:-)

I lost 25 pounds the first 4 months of 2007.....had 10 more or so to go and kinda let the gym slack.....

oops...i quite smoking two weeks ago tomorrow and gained 5 pounds the first week....so last i began swimming again everyday (okay is that compulsive?  i even went on thurs in the morning and at lunch)....now I have at least 15 pounds to drop.

Yep, theres a few of us crawling around this place.
yupp we are here, just many of us lurking ;-) Trying to find the magic post about how to get rid of that last little bit of beer gut *grin*
arrghhh! it's the beer!!!!
AHA!! I knew if I just installed a tap in my navel I could instantly get rid of it!!

Okay, so call me inappropriate......but it's not like I have lots of people to discuss this with....and we established this thread is men so far, so...

Changes...okay, yeah...all about sex

I lost 25 pounds in the first part of 2007, and now I'm finally working on the rest.

1) OMG my sex drive flew up ten fold and now again...the second increase may be due to quitting smoking....the first may be from the workouts, better self esteem, better overall health....combo.....But it happened.  Is that just me?

2) I read in Mens Health many years ago about a correlation between weight and penis size....you grow, it shrinks, you shrink, it grows because of the fat build up around the mons and the abdomen.....1 inch to 25 pounds i thik?   anyone experience this?

Brian

wow i thought it was all women on here all the time, good to see other guys in the same boat.

im a 22 y.o college student who is currently at 292 lbs (down 7 in 2 weeks) my goal is to be 200-210 since I like to lift heavy and have a medium/large frame. I've got along way to go and cool to share the experience with some other guy. BTW, guinness is my downfall
