Do men really log & count calories?

Quote  |  Reply

I have known very few men who really put any sorta attention towards health and weight management.  But logging food?  Counting Calories?  Never!

I see a few men here & there in the forums.  But off it up, guys... Are you really counting calories or is it more of a social support system you have here in your quest for a healthier you?

What tools on the CalorieCount community do you use?

Short answer: Yes. Yes we do. Or at least I do.

Sometimes obsessively. Sometimes not quite so much. But yeah.

to be honest, for men it is kinda hard to gain weight, especially a young male, and we also find it easier to lose weight. personally i dont really count calories, but i have a general figure in mind, as long as i dont eat past maintainence( 15xbodyweight btw), i know ill be ok.  when im cutting i also make sure i dont eat less than 2500 calories, cuz i dont want to stall. but as ive reached closer to my goal weight i believe i dont count as religiously as before, i hope to end counting at my goal weight and just eat maintainence forever- hopefully 3000 cals forever, cant wait yay!!!!
