What are your views on "shortish" curly hair on women? Love it? Hate it?

Do you have curly hair yourself? Is it short? Or, do you have a style that you love for curly hair?

I'm getting my hair cut in a few hours and I'm thinking short, and I'd love your input! I've had SHORT hair before, but I used to straighten it, scruff it and mess it up (it was bright pink too- I was sooooo cool). Any one have any ideas? I'd love photo/ internet links too if you have them!

I like curls...but I like them longer....

I do have curly hair and I've worn it both short and long (I haven't found a style I like with my hair at all).

The pink hair sounds awesome. :)  I say if you want to go short, go short.  I was just looking this up for myself yesterday, so I'll give you a couple links I found.

I am not one to advise...I LOVE long hair...at least shoulder length on women...just a personal preference...never saw a short haircut that I liked better then a longer one.

Some people can pull it off well, but I think it all depends on personal style and personality.

Kristen Schaal from Flight of the Conchords is someone who looks really good with that kind of hair.

Take a look at my gallery. I have very short, very curly hair. I'm actually trying to grow it out, but every time it gets past jaw length I get sick of it and cut it off.

So I'd like to think that I like short curly hair.

I couldn't find a photo so have to show you video clips of two songs. I like this ' short curly look ' it's kinda longer. Not short short. Or long though. Kinda between. Anyhow: It's basically the same style which I like for shorter curly hair. It may be considered more of a wave though. I'm not sure how you like your curls. This is a wavy short style. Good for curly or wavey hair,imo.

 I'd talk to a stylist though and see what they suggest would work best for your face/hair. Stylist <3 They're wonderful at helping us find what flatters our best features.

Izzie Stevens aka Katherine Heigl on Grey's Anatomy a sports a short curl/wavy style this season. It's adorable. I'm addicted to Grey's Anatomy. :)

I have curly hair & the length in my profile pic is as short as I would go. Otherwise, it would be all over the place.

Thanks everyone- I just got back from the hair stylist. I just ended up "significantly trimming" it. If you look at my gallery, it's just a few inches shorter, but now rounded and flouncy. I wasn't too adventurous.

Are your curls natural? Just curious. They seem so healthy and perfectly curly. :)

I always wanted curly hair but it doesn't work for me. Lol! So I do the longer wavy type curls, ect.  To just volume it up, ect. Heh.

Chelsea Clinton and Nicole Kidman both sported short curls similiar to yours at one time. :)

They are natural, but they too get a "product treatment". I use Fructis Curls n' Shine when I come out of the shower. It's awesome.

I think it all depends on how short you cut it. I like short curly hair, but if it's too short you get the q-tip look...that's no good!

My hair is a mix between curly and wavy, depending on what it feels like doing for the day. I always want my hairdresser to take more off than she does! She refuses to go to my shoulders....it's annoying. I like when my hair is bouncy!

Very pretty natural curls. Most people make it sound like a hassle to maintain naturally curly hair. :) Does it take you a long time to prep them?

I have short curly hair. It has to be cut by someone good. If it's not cut regularly it goes PUFFY and old ladyish.

I love the Kelly McGillis hair cut in Top Gun...it might be a bit longer than you were thinking.

Nope, I'm reeeaallly lazy when it comes to hair care. I don't wash it, just condition. When I get out of the shower, I use the Fructis hair goop and go. Nothin' else.

my entire life i had pretty long beach-wavy hair, then about a year ago chopped it all off - and have kept it pretty short. i loooove it short so much better. it's so much easier and bouncier and well i'm short myself so i think it suits me better :]
