Has anyone tried this pill, I know its an appetite suppressant but I am just curios to know if anyone’s had success with it. I went to Tijuana, Mx and got 30 pills for $35.No that’s not what I went for I just asked the pharmacist about an appetite suppressant and she told me about that pill. I am not a big fan of pills because they don't work but, lately the day after working out I have feel very hungry with a lot of appetite What I usually do is snack on an apple but I am still very hungry I wake up hungry 2-3 later I am still hungry that hasn't happened to me before.
Honestly this appetite just scares me I have lost 30lbs w/out pills and I want to loose another 40 I don’t want to gain weight and I have also hit a plateau for over 6 weeks…
i am scared of taking diet pills. alot of them contain traces of sawdust to give you that "full" feeling. there is no telling whats in those pills especially from mexico. buyer beware. you get what you pay for.
for the plateu, i would try to break it the right way. get more sleep, ramp up the exercise, zigzag your calories. something?????
it is very hard for me to get sleep specially since I work ft/ and school FT... I am lucky if i get 5-6 hrs of sleep a night..
Some pills work. I've used Phentermine & Stackers (w/ ephedra), and they both worked, but........once I stopped I gained the weight back.
try doing small things to add more activity during the day. like park at the end of the parkinglot, and walk. take the stairs instead of elevators. things like that.???
absterry...thanks for the tips I will try to do it for an early class cause I get out at 10pm from my last classes and it scary at night..
terry5581... I asked about Phentermine and they didnt carry it they said they were not legal and I don't like messing with my metabolism however I am not sure if meridia does that.. I haven't started taking them I am still doing my research.

I was on Meridia when it first came out about 8 years ago. I was 165 and wanted to lose about 20 lbs. It started off slow but in about 3 months I got down to 142. I didn't change my diet (which consisted of mostly fast food) and I didn't exercise. it definitely decreased my appetite. I went from eating a double cheeseburger value meal to barely being able to eat a kid's meal. I stopped taking the pills after about 4 months becuase I wasn't seeing any new changes. I didn't have any side effects other than dry mouth which just made me want water. Now here's the catch:
As I said, I never changed my diet or level of activity (which was none), within a year, I slowly started to see the weight gain. After a year, I had gained 25 lbs. I was now at about 172 which was my highest ever. In the next couple of years, I continued gaining weight back until I hit 196. That was 30 lbs over my heaviest weight!! Lucky for me I finally realized that diet and exercise were the only things that would work and I was able to lose 37 pounds last year.
My whole point is that there is no easy fix. Period. Diet and exercise is the only thing that works. I'm sure you can ask any overweight person who has taken diet pills if they have kept the weight off without changing their lifestyle. My guess is that the answer would be no.
I'll come down off my high horse. Sorry. I just know how miserable that damn pill made me and I would hate for others to go through that.
thanks for all the feedback on this pill.
Hi there - i've used meridia in the past - you ahve to be careful if you decide to come off of it - it was originally used as an antidepressant - you'll feel pretty good while you are on it but you have to come off of it slowly or you'll feel very "down" for a week to 10 days. Also, if you stop taking it - it is not effective again. Lastly I suffer with the odd flair up of gout and it seems to agrevate the condition - i'd definately have a look at the company's website to check for all side effects and consult your doctor before you start. I lost 30 pounds on it - i wasn't hungry but i started getting the side effects that i mentioned after awhile.
Phentermine is the generic product for Meridia. I work for a pharmaceutical company, and we produce the generic. Phentermine is the active ingriedient, in Meridia. They're the same thing, so if someone said that it was "illegal", but they sold you Meridia, I'd be careful...
just saying
Guys,
Phentermine is NOT the generic ingredient for Meridia...sibutramine is. Different MOA's (mechanism of actions). Phentermine is the generic for Adipex-P, which can still be prescribed by a licensed provider. It is a sympathomimetic, or central nervous system stimulant. It is not recommended that it be prescribed to anyone with a BMI less than 30, or less than 27 with concommitant risk factor (high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, diabetes...which, ironically, may make the drug contraindicated for you!). Meridia works by inhibiting the reuptake of certain neurotransmitters
Won't go into a scientific discussion re: Meridia (sibutramine) versus Adipex-P (phentermine), but suffice it to say that they are NOT the same. Both have side effects that can be very serious, especially phentermine, and you need to be monitored by a provider while on it.
BTW...if you got them in Mexico, you have no idea if you're taking phentermine or Tic Tacs. I have had patients think they were getting a great deal by going to Mexico, and end up very sick. Just my 2 cents, though.
