ive recently been adapting 5-6 meals a day into my routine. now the experts say the point of this is to keep your metabolism working. this poses a question for me, does that mean im burning more calories a day? because when someone who is stick thin can eat how they want without gaining weight we attribute it to their high metabolism...so is that what you're trying to induce by eating so many times a day? any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Nope, still burning the same amount. As far as I understand it, the time of day you eat the calories doesnt matter at all...spreading your meals out is just better for people who dont want to be hungry between meals...but maybe Im missing some info.
Actually I know a nutritionist is Dallas, TX who does say you can actually eat more this way because you are burning more calories. His analogy is that you keep the calorie burning over on high all day. It seemed to work for me but that eating 5 small meals which was supposed to be like one small plate of food every 2.5 to 3 hours drove me nuts. Spent all day thinking about food. Just did not work for me even if I did get more actual food. Just my experience.
