So basically, this morning I ate 1 cup of Frosted Flakes cereal with 1 cup of 2% milk then went on a 30 min fast paced walk. For lunch I had potatoes with cheese and chives with a tablespoon of sour cream then went running and played tennis after for about 40 min.
My question is, would eating a Mexican corn for dinner (corn with mayo, butter, chives and cheese) totally "counteract" my workout today? I am really hungry and idk what to eat right now...
P.S. yes I have been loging in my calories and when I workout and the amount of calores I consome is always lower than the calories I burn
Doesn't sound like you're eating enough. You won't counteract it, but starvation isn't worth it. This is not the way to go about things. Also, your diet isn't varied nor wholesome enough. Where are the fruits and vegetables?
Agreed. Your diet doesn't have nearly enough calories and is missing fruit, vegetables and protein (a single cup of milk and some cheese is not going to give you enough protein for the day).
Why not make a tuna fish sandwich with some salad or other veggies on the side? Or grill some chicken and make a salad? Or, if you're vegetarian (or not), make a bean salad or bean casserole?
Your menu is just junk food. It sounds to me like you need to educate yourself about nutrition and balance. Here are some good links that might help, if you read them.
Ideas for Eating More Vegetables
You know veggies are good for you, but you just don't get enough. Convenience is the key to eating more. Learn how.
Ideas for Eating More Fruits
We know that they are good for us. We know that they are full of vitamins, minerals and fiber. They are even full of substances called phytonutrients, which help to fight diseases, like heart disease, diabetes, cancers and blood pressure.
What Is a Balanced Diet?
You've heard the term before and know how important it is. But what exactly is a BALANCED diet?
A Simple Diet Plan For every calorie level, there is a best amount of food to eat from each of the food groups You own it to yourself to know which foods and how much each make up a balanced diet for YOU. Before you eat, ask, "Have I had enough of this or too much of that?" Consciously choose your food.
I agree you need more protien, and food in there somewhere, but mexican corn is the best. Properly called "Elote".
Frosted Flakes 1c: approx 100 - 120 cals?
2% milk approx 100-110 cals?
4oz potato: 100 cals
1tbsp sour cream? I'm guessing 50
Cheese: 200?
Chives: basically nothing
Are you logging your calories?
