I started calorie count in November of 2007, since then I lost 22 pounds. But...I gained 2-3 back and I never reached my goal of 145. Right now I am 155-156. I began this journey at 175, 5'8". So who's ready to lose the last 10 with me??

 

We will have weekly weigh-ins on Friday mornings and post them in this thread, tell how we feel, if we are struggling, etc.

We need support!!

I am so proud of all of you! Wow. I think it really worked for those that stuck with it.

I did not and now I have to report that I am 2 pounds heavier than when I started but I am in awe of your results. way to go!!~!

Well I am down 1 lb despite the fact that I am due for Aunt Flo today so I am very happy with that.  I've kicked things up a notch since last weigh in and now use the eat, burn and activity meters to help me along.  I am doing much better and hope to see a 1lb lose each week. 

I've lost about 3-4 pounds I think, but what's even better is that my co-worker told me I had loss weight the other day.  I told her I was trying and she asked me how many pounds, I told her about 3, she said no way looks more like 6-8!  I almost gave her a hug and kiss.  The weight training definitely is helping me look toner and lighter than I am.

Today I can feel the difference in the butt and thigh area on a pair of jeans I like to wear.  They are looser and I thank God for that.  I am seeking a new challenge, but also have an event in September that I'd like to be 5-6 pounds lighter for so that's motivation too.

Best of luck to all.  This weight loss thing is difficult but we can and will do it!Thanks for the encouragement and see you guys in the next challenge.

OMG the night before our final exam... what do we do, what do we do?!?!?!?

I started at 180 and I am hoping to see 172 tomorrow (since I already saw 173 earlier this week, lol)  8 pounds in 5 weeks isn't too shabby at all! 

I am a bit excited.

8/15/08: 178.6 (up 1.0!!! weighing in today cause I'm out of town all weekend!)

So I didn't change at all in the last 6 weeks :( which is better than gaining...but still...freakin plateau!!! Ahhhhhh. who's startin another group? congrats to all you disciplined people out there who're gettin towards their goals!!!

Well, I just want to thank everyone in this group.  It has been great motivation for me and not only have I lost 12 pounds since I signed up to do this, but it has helped me reach my final goal.  I am now at the weight I want to be, and I can officially switch to "maintenance."  Yay!

I wish you all a lot of luck in reaching you goals.  Congrats to everyone who lost big time for this challenge, and to those who had trouble, keep the faith!  You can do it!

So, a grand total of 4 lbs. since this challenge started.  Not even 1/2 way to 10 lbs.!  Oh well, I'll keep trucking along.  I have 5 more to reach my goal.  Maybe by next August?  ha, ha

But I tell you that scale was sure wanting to stay at 180 for what seemed like forever! I upped my calories on Wednesday and then back down yesterday and I drank a ton of water yesterday. So finally the scale moved down.

BTW, Pumpkin - Congratulations! That's awesome news that your reached your goal. Hope you have a great time maintaining. I'll see you there in a few months.

Hang in there johgar! It is good that you didn't gain and eventually you will loose if you just keep on doing what you are supposed to. So, don't get discouraged.

halizabeth - How did you do????

ka2007 - 5 lbs lost is great! Congratulations!

Renee - 4 lbs is great too. Celebrate it! That's 4 lbs gone and you never have to see them again. Right?

8/1/08: 134.5 (it's only a little bit but it's better than nothing and I'm really excited!)
